Good book

I like this book because it does expose you to all the aspects of rental property investing. Even the crap that you are going to have to deal with as a landlord. But it is a good book and does gives some tips on renovating a property to get ready for rentals.

Informative

I'm not anywhere near done reading this book, however this is probably going to be the best book on real estate investing for the buy and hold investor. Over the years I have adjusted my investing strategy to accomplish my goals more effectively. This book offers a lot of great insight. I especially like the new terms I learned such as "BRRRR" and "house hacking". I'm sure this book will warrant 5 stars when I'm done.

Amazing one

So far so good. It definitely is a beginners guide. I haven't gotten to any meat on the bones part; It has mostly been on ideas and the risks and benefits, and why do you think passive income is good for you.

Excellent

My wife and I trully appreciate the informative and candid nature of this book. Though somewhat new to the real estate arena we feel like out of this one book we have had many of our questions answered (some we didn't even know we had) and our confidence solidified. Our interest has been supercharged and we are on our way to closing our first major deal. Thanks Brandon for taking time to empower us through this book and the others you've suggested, that I am currently reading through. BiggerPockets has also been instrumental in our growth. Thanks guys, you rock! See you at the top....

Overall good

Brandon has a great sharing heart! He does a wonderful job portraying the greatness and challenges of rental property investing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a follow up for any real estate investor, it's imperative to surround yourself with like minded people on BiggerPockets.com and/or at local REI meetups.

Highly recommended

Excellent book. I like to listen to books while I drive. This one has some great information, but I can't take notes while I'm driving, so I'll need to buy a hard copy for my reference library. So for me, this book is worth purchasing in two versions. If you are going to get into real estate investing you will never find a book with all the answers to your questions. But this one is a good one to add to your collection. The author points to many other good sources for information.

Amazing one

This book is excellent. It covers in-depth the basics and nuances of investing in rental property, and I ended up reading this book almost three time fully because of what it has. Definitely applicable to real life scenarios, and it is a great and enjoyable read. My only criticism is that at times I feel as if I was being talked to like a child, but those moments were few and far between and it was all for the sake of clarity. Regardless, any person, whether new to investing or seasoned, should grab this book.

Excellent book

I am thinking about investing in real estate, mostly long term residential rentals. In order to educate myself on the matter, I chose this book based on the reviews. As someone completely new to real estate and that has never owned a property before, I found this book informative. It covers different rental properties, financing, how to estimate costs/maintenance, screening tenants, common landlording problems, etc.

The book tells you what you need.

The book tells you what you need to do in a good clear manor and gives you a good idea of what information an experts you'll need to go out and find to make this happen.

Solid.Good book.

It sets down a general road map to investing in real estate. It doesn't give you exact step by step instructions like a manual and that's good because things change fast so a book that does might be giving you out of date instructions
