Real Advice For Real Mom’s
I have read lots of cleaning, organizing, purging, minimalist books and was in search of a book that didn’t just explain what “being organized” meant or how I needed to change my lifestyle. I wanted someone to tell me where to start and how to do it. I love this Book and will read it/listen to it again and again. I will recommend it to all my mom friends, not just the ones that need help organizing but all moms.

Very helpful, great book!
This is a very good book if you're looking to create your own system for a Clutter-Free home/life.
You'll find very practical, down to earth advice and suggestions, but what I found truly special was that it contains a way to determine which clutter/organizing style you have.
That's incredibly helpful for families where different people have different styles and concecions have to be made so that the family could live a Clutter-Free life together.
It helps you better understand yourself and your family.
I couldn't recommend it more, it's just a really helpful, fantastic organizing book!

Not for people already into organizing
The writer constantly alienates and even insults people who enjoy and are already functioning organizers. I was hoping for some new tips and tricks but felt antagonized. The author is constantly referencing that they will get to the meat of the book later on, and repeats themselves frequently. If you are trying to start tackling your messy home and need a place to start, im sure this book is more approachable than others, but it wasnt for me.

Somewhat useful, but aimed at the wealthy
‘Throw out ten shirts you don’t wear, a bathing suit and three pairs of pyjamas!’ ‘You can always replace stuff!’ - I own two shirts and two pairs of pyjamas. I have no spare swimsuit, and no, if I throw something out I can’t replace it easily.
‘The basement, garage and laundry room are great places to store stuff for six months!’ - If you own a flipping mansion.
Also, the idea of purging everything by throwing it out or donating it, without thinking about it, is unconscionable. OK you might need to at first. But the cycle of acquiring and disposing is what needs to stop. Don’t buy stuff! Half the time donating is just code for dumping your horrible crap on someone else.
There is some good advice in here but it does seem to come from a very narrow viewpoint.

Great ideas, systems and insight.
One of the things I found most helpful was how to recognise the different personality types when it comes to organising/tidying your home and how to develop techniques that mesh the different types so that it works for all.
Loved the part about facilitating and encouraging children to be independent so that you are not their forever slave (….into adulthood!)

Helps to make life simpler
Practical tips for real life. Cassandra puts things in a light hearted fun way which makes the book an easy read. I also like that she shares her challenges of being a naturally messy person and how she needed things to be super simple to put away.

yes
Pivotal moment was realizing how people get stuck between the value of the stuff versus the value of themselves, what they need and deserve in life.

Finally feel like I know what I'm doing
She makes tidying so easy, straightforward and manageable!
The tips are actually actionable and don't leave you with stuff lying in guilt inducing piles while you sit paralyzed with indecision (like some other tidying methods do).

Wow am I impressed!
This book is so spot on it’s freaky. She knew my organising style and gave loads of tasks and ideas to fix it. Already I’ve told 7 friends who struggle as well. Best book I read in at least 3 years and I read a lot of book. It simple and easy to do tasks to correct your weaknesses and gives great storage ideas. All I can say is it’s so complete you couldn’t add anything else to it.

Give your home a hug and it will love you back
This book goes through an overview of different clutter personalities and how to adapt for each. The reader completes a quick questionnaire which helps them determine where on the clutter spectrum they sit. This was interesting as it helped explain why I am different as opposed to my husband or child. I believe it could help other readers too. Cassandra also talks about how to adapt cleaning and storage solutions to each of the personalities.
The part that I really did like was her daily checklists and about giving love to your home. When you give your home a hug it will love you back and it will change you. I love all things manifestation and karma and spiritual and this book somewhat delivered that also (albeit at a smaller scale).
I will try and read more books by this author.
