A tremendous help in recording audio
I have spent time looking for information about recording audio from creating the tracks, editing the tracks and engineering the sound. A lot of sound engineers work on recording music rather than audiobooks so their information is slanted towards working with music. George Smolinski's book is all about recording audiobooks, with important tips about how to make the best use of your voice, how to edit your voice tracks to how to engineer your tracks so your voice is more pleasing. Recording audio is not rocket science but creating your audiobook without mistakes or background noise that will distract the reader is a challenge. Smolinski is the first author who lays out a complete guide to creating a professional audiobook. I am really grateful to have access to his articulate and kindly written guide to achieving a pleasant, error-free audio recording. If you are serious about getting your story down on audio Recording Audio Books is a real blessing.

The inspiration and nuts 'n bolts I needed!
What made the experience of listening to Recording Audiobooks: How to Get Started Recording Your Audiobook for Audible the most enjoyable?
I found Gutenberg Reloaded and George S when I was trying to figure out if I could even narrate my own book. This book gave me the inspiration to do it and answered all of my questions about how to do it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved the info on setting up the site. However, what I realized I needed, even more, were some of the tips on how to do the narration, like warming up my voice, and using lip balm ;-)
Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed hearing all the details on set up. I had already watched George's YouTube video that showed his setup, so I could follow along in my mind.
What did you learn from Recording Audiobooks: How to Get Started Recording Your Audiobook for Audible that you would use in your daily life?
That I CAN do this!
Any additional comments?
George is a real person...who responds to comments and emails. He answered additional questions I had. In fact, he first sent me the e-book version of this...but I promptly paid for the audio version, because, I know that's how I needed to quickly digest this info. Thanks, George! You have a raving fan for life!
