Sweet, slow, and sentimental

Let me start out by saying I love romance novels that actually show you when and how the characters fall in love. It was so wonderful to see their love blossom and grow. But, Gemma be cryin. Gemma spent the entire book in tears. Everyone had tears and dry lips and it became exhaustingly boring. I found myself letting out an audible sigh every time Mari said “tear”, which was a lot.

The book would have been so good if something, anything happened, but nothing really happened except for a lot of tears. It was an okay read.

Second chances romance

It took me a long time to listen to this audiobook. I started and stopped several times over the course of a year. Even with COVID, I made little time for it. However, once I finally listened to it uninterrupted, it was a really sweet story of two people that got a second chance at love.

Slow redemption

I finished listening to the story because I was determined to see how it ended. I felt like it was missing something.

Boring and unrealistic. Great narrator SPOILER

A husband would want to know his wifes killers name. A husband would be at his wifes killer sentencing hearing. Especially if he mourned her death for 3 years. Gemma is a uncommon name even if her last name was changed back to her maiden name. Also if you are going to start dating someone you would want to know why they were in prison for 3 year. I cant believe Alex dad didnt remember his dead daughter-in-laws killers first name or face.

Good story

I really liked it. The only draw back was the girl cried way too much.

Good

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show.

The narrator wasn't good when it came to the female voices. I really liked this couple together and how they over came all the drama.

It had real life issues like DUI, rap, abuse, and tragic death.

Really ridiculous story premise.

some of the romance part of the story is enjoyable. A somewhat elementary romance but the basis of the story borders on stupid.
