As far back as he can remember James Corden has only ever wanted to be in one place: in front of you, doing something to make you laugh, cry, shout, or giggle uncontrollably. At the age of 4, he grandstanded throughout his baby sister’s christening, standing on a chair in front of the whole congregation, pulling faces and cracking everyone up. Despite himself, the vicar was impressed. And from then on he couldn’t get enough of the spotlight, even when it always seemed to avoid him. Throughout his teens, he and his Dad trudged up and down towards London....

Story
A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a 19-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left. Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy-tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay home and be heartbroken, or go travel Europe for a month by myself. And staying at home heartbroken? F%*k. That.

Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Have you ever found yourself in that moment where you just wonder - what's next? I could carry on as I am but there's a yearning for something else. That's where this book started for me....
Presenter. Fashion icon. Wife. Mother. Holly Willoughby lights up the nation's TV screens every day but, like all of us, she has struggled with moments of self-doubt, feelings of guilt, anger and detachment. Here she shares how she faces these head on and has learned to reconnect with herself to find inner beauty.
With her trademark warmth, Holly shows how listening to her inner voice and celebrating life's little moments of joy - like looking up at the moon or finding the perfect red lipstick - helped her feel whole again. Reflections is an empathetic, encouraging audiobook that will inspire you to live your most beautiful, authentic life.

Chapters
I wish the Chapters had been named rather than numbered so I'd know what's to come or if I wanted to choose a certain chapter first. (Edited to add that I see the chapters have been named since my review, much better ! )
I do like Holly but I guess at times it felt like she was trying to be too relatable to regular income women but as a reader you're left thinking what has she not be grateful for when shes in a total different league to us which she's very lucky to be in. Just a tad moany... That part just made me think wait a minute what the heck.... Also a bit too much beauty advice that at 40 odd yrs old I already learned.
I was expecting a bit more depth and wisdom in this book I guess...

Self indulgent and patronising
I’ve been a fan of Holly, always find her very down to earth, warm and empathic, well that is, on the programmes I’ve watched her present. This book however reads like a regurgitation of her own therapeutic exploration combined with teenage memories and backstage makeup tips! It’s random in places but for the most part I found it self indulgent and patronising, and certainly not a book that connects with the less privileged. Really not at all what I was hoping to read from Holly. I’ve read some great personal development books recently that have inspired self-reflection. Sadly this is not one of them. Sorry Holly. Not for me.

Sadly I have mixed feelings
Some great reminders for self care but Holly can only speak from a place of privilege which sadly annoyed me at times. I felt this book was aimed at a particular type of wealthy woman.
Holly encourages us to love our true individual selves, but then I am confused as to why she gives her beauty advice at the end (i.e paint nails nude as not to distract from what you are wearing, always curl eyelashes), why or who is this aimed at?
I will be sticking to advice from Fearne Cotton who speaks with so much more depth on similar topics, is much more real and because I am never annoyed by her. Holly even advised Fearne in her podcast not to worry what people think of her because, should her career end tomorrow, she can always live happy at home with her husband and kids. Not many of us can relate…should our careers end we couldn’t all live care-free, taking our nanny on family holidays, rich husband and huge house. Neither can we fully focus on things like cooking the dinner and moisturising when we are worried about paying bills and childcare.
Sadly I bought this book as I love Holly and as a mum of three I thought there would be some good advice I could learn from but sadly there was very little.

Insightful book
I put off buying this book because of the reviews it had. I’m glad I went with my gut, I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve listened to the whole book in 3 days around a full time job and children 🤭! It’s a light book nothing too deep with some useful tips, tricks & advice. Thanks Holly 💖

Just Lovely!
A beautiful narration of a lovely book. It was so nice to hear Holly's voice throughout this book, evidently clear that she has undergone and , more importantly lovingly embraced the changes and challenges that she has faced as a flourishing woman. I loved how personal the book felt, as though Holly is directly speaking with the reader in person . Just lovely!

I wish I liked it more
I am a massive fan of Holly and it was nice to find out a bit more about her but the words "your true self" were grating on me. It was a bit too fluffy for me. I think Holly would be great as a voice doing the kind of stories that help people to get to sleep, she has a very, very calming voice.

Utterly, uplifting, inspiring, depth and honesty
I cannot tell you how inspiring and gripping this book is. Holly is an incredibly deep insightful woman. I have used this book like calling up a best friend . I will always listen to this book in ransom chapters for uplifting and spiritual guidance. This book is full of positivity and honesty and in some ways teaching us how sharing vulnerability will breed positivity and teach us to be strong and that We are not alone and we are more alike as a woman than we realise and Looking after yourself with the little things in life and her kindness and wisdom has shown the queen she is .
Thank you Holly - I pre judged you before I read this (shame on me) and rarely watched your tv work until I saw your interview with Lorraine Kelly talking about this book.
Your connection with your spirituality has connected me to take my first mediation lesson on Sunday :

I don’t really know much about holly, so I didn’t buy this book because of her celebrity status. I found listening to her calming and reassuring, the advice relatable and helpful. I’d love to have her as a friend! and to be honest it felt like i was listening to a wise friend. Great stuff
