Publisher's Summary

Contains volumes one and two of Reincarnated as a Familiar

Volume One

A young teacher finds herself reborn with only fuzzy, damaged memories of her past life. Even worse, she's stuck in the body of a cat and can't remember her own name. Summoned by a young mage girl named Lesti, she takes up the name Astria and becomes the girl's familiar.

However, things won't be easy for her. The pair immediately find themselves in trouble over Astria's summoning. What's more, Lesti is at the bottom of her class and has almost no power of her own. On top of all that, she seeks to use Astria's potential to turn society in this new world on its head. With a new body and abilities that she doesn't understand, will Astria be able to grant Lesti's desire?

Volume Two

After their close call with the archdemon Thel’al, Astria and Lesti are finally given permission to leave the academy grounds. Eager to get out into the city, they head to the market. Almost immediately, they hear whispers of strange happenings in the city. Unable to ignore the problem, they begin to investigate on their own.

Meanwhile, back at the academy, Lesti finds herself in a new class. In fact, it’s the top class in her year! With a unique chance to make friends, she doesn’t waste any time. However, Astria has her concerns. The girl she befriends, Aurelia, is acting suspiciously.

Will Astria safely navigate Thel’al’s schemes and find the secret behind Aurelia’s actions, or will her curiosity spell doom for the Astral Cat?

Is she 23 or 5?

The MC is supposed to be a teacher, someone that finished university at least, with extra studies after. logical thinking and being able to handle stressful situations.

However she spends the book throwing tantrums and being a clueless little girl. like seriously? no wonder you died if this is what you see as good enough to teach.

WHERE ARE THE TEACHERS IN THIS ACADEMY?

Nearly one sitting

Listened to nearly all of it as I cleaned my house.
Somehow is quite motivating.

Stupid, boring, irritating, predictable

While the premise had potential, the book utterly fails. It has no depth, uses every cliche possible, repetitive vocabulary and scattershot rather than complexity. Dumb!

A good Isekai

Pretty normal far as Isekai go. It had a bit of a slow start but picked up quickly. Where do I sign up to reincarnate as a familiar.

Good reincarnation Fiction

A good story in the same vain as anime and manga like “that time I got reincarnated as a slime” or “so I’m a spider? So what?”.

Very interesting magic system and good relationships.

Great performance marred by frustrating character

MC needs to stand up for herself, they're always getting punished for stuff that wasn't their fault and just accept it. All the teachers are so frustrating and unfair to MC and she never does anything back. Plus her partner is an obnoxious braggart that makes kid Naruto look calm.

Interesting and 'clean'

most reincarnated books I read have a dirty side to them so this is a refreshing breath of air and has kept my attention well (ADHD) look forward to book 3

A simple story well told

What starts as a fun mix between reincarnated as a slime and familiar of zero soon turns into something a bit slower paced, but entertaining nonetheless.

There are a few qualms that I have with the story, but so as to not spoil much, let’s just say that the fact that the lead character was human, was a teacher, and came from an era of advanced practical and medical science matters very little in the context of the narrative. Despite being the most educated “person” at the school, our protagonist can be as dumb as a bag of sand at some points, making her role in the stories pretty passive.

Voice performance for the audiobook was done well, giving the majority female cast their own distinctive feel.

If you just want a fun romp in a fantasy setting with a small cast, this is a great story to have on in the background.

The story wasn't bad it just wasn't good

The bad part about it with the performance it was like the words didn't flow together it was like a person I don't know the words you didn't flow it could have just been how the book was written but I'm not sure
