Publisher's Summary

An all-new production of the phenomenal best seller, now featuring exclusive new conversations with the authors!

For more than two decades, legendary trainer Tim Grover has taken the greats - Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and hundreds of relentless competitors in sports, business, and every walk of life - and made them greater. Now, for the first time ever, he reveals what it takes to achieve total mental and physical dominance, showing you how to be relentless and achieve whatever you desire.

Direct, blunt, and brutally honest, Grover breaks down what it takes to be unstoppable: you keep going when everyone else is giving up, you thrive under pressure, you never let your emotions make you weak. In “The Relentless 13”, he details the essential traits shared by the most intense competitors and achievers in sports, business, and all walks of life. Relentless shows you how to trust your instincts and get in the Zone; how to control and adapt to any situation; how to find your opponent’s weakness and attack.

Grover gives you the same advice he gives his world-class clients - “don’t think” - and shows you that anything is possible. Packed with previously untold stories and unparalleled insight into the psyches of the most successful and accomplished athletes of our time, Relentless shows you how even the best get better...and how you can too.

An exercise in ego

A cooler never closes, and a closer never cleans, but a cleaner never acknowledges any of this, he’s too busy stepping on throats and cheating on his wife with his well-deserved girls. When you are a cleaner, you can punch people in the face or throw them though a window, and everyone will think your awesome and respect you for it, and if they don’t, F-em, your too busy with winning anyways. We’re going to find your buttons to make this all possible, but I’m never going to talk about how to achieve any of it, if you’re a cleaner, you’ll already know how, I’m just here to point it out to you, but not in any substantial way. When you’re a cleaner everything around you disappears, and all your left with is yourself, because you’re a winner. Done. Next.

If you had trouble getting through that parody “paragraph” good luck with the book.

Should be called, "Why you're not Michael Jordan"

I'm a Chicago Bulls and Jordan fan which is why I gave it an extra star. There are no helpful tips to be relentless. The word count would be half if he didn't say, "A cooler this, a closer that, and a cleaner this," 1,000 times. MJ made you great, Tim. Not the other way around.
Do not buy.

turns out I'm not a cleaner

it's very direct in what it claims to do. it is not a motivational or inspirational book. it is meant to explain how the extremely rare elite professionals think and behave. most likely you are not like that and never could be. it requires being a laser focused psycho who lives an unbalanced life, gaining nothing from the rewards and validation that drives others to succeed. rather it requires an addiction to perpetual improvement and victory for its own sake. interesting read in any case

Repetitive/ Nothing insightful

Literally hours of explaining the differences between 3 make-believe terms: “cooler, closer, & cleaner” and not once giving any actionable information, helpful tips or interesting insight.

Cooler, closer, cleaner

It's so easy to lower your standards these days, in fact we're somewhat encouraged to do so. This book is exactly what anyone requires when they decide to go after life rather than just let things happen. Live with intent but remember to sharpen your skills, find clarity in your mindset and get back to or become relentless

Excellent, excellent book. So glad it's on audible

Worst book ever!!

Struggled to finish it,
The author has a unhealthy obsession with Michael Jordan, and just goes on and on and on again about how great Jordan is and how he contributed towards Jordan's success, and he is relentless in every chapter about how great they both are, painful to say the least
Pointless book which will not help a single soul out there,
It has to be the worst book i have ever listened to with no exaggeration.
there is no guidance of how to be relentless, it truly is a book of self praise and how he would have Michael Jordan's babies if he could.

Absolutely fantastic read

This is a must read, it’s definitely not your typical feel good book full of stuff that sounds good but you can never quite get it to work.

It’s full of actionable information, given in a no nonsense way that anyone can understand.

Motivating and nicely written

Great audiobook to help reinforce ideals around personal development and creating an unstoppable mindset.

Only challenge would be is that it’s very NBA specific, which with limited knowledge of the sport still allowed me to give the book 5 stars.

Nothing to see here

This is a terrible display of self importance by the “author”. The book proclaims that it is for anyone who wants to be the best - but only loosely ties the thread between athletes and business. I’ve give it a few hours of my life and haven’t learnt anything new, except for the names of some American athletes. Maybe all the good stuff is at the end of the book - I’ll never know.
If you’re over 35, this is not for you - unless you’re a hard core NBA fan who wants to hear about the greats from 2 decades ago.
This one is being returned.

Honest and well navigated but also gives an insight on how Kobe & Michael Jordan built that type of mentality.

Thought provoking

lm not a mad sports person but the analogies and stories are vivid and motivated me to learn more about the key players in the story, to observe the behaviours.

it also challenged my thinking about how l treat my business and life how relentless l am and want to be. Great narration.
