Eleven years after the registered level-3 sex offender was arrested, four cases associated with his 2005 criminal investigation remain open. The pedophile was not prosecuted under The Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), a law enacted in Florida in 2000. In this gripping exposé, Sarnoff finds out why.

In November 2000, Chicago journalist and music critic Jim DeRogatis received an anonymous fax that alleged R. Kelly had a problem with “young girls”. Weeks later, DeRogatis broke the shocking story, publishing allegations that the R&B superstar and local hero had groomed girls, sexually abused them, and paid them off. DeRogatis thought his work would have an impact. Instead, Kelly’s career flourished. I order another bourbon, neat. This is the drink that will flip the switch. I don’t even know how I got here, to this place, to this point. Something is happening to me lately. I’m drinking too much. My sheets are soaking wet when I wake up from nightmares of decaying corpses. I order another drink and swig it, trying to forget about the latest case I can’t shake. Crime solving for me is more complex than the challenge of the hunt, or the process of piecing together a scientific puzzle. The thought of good people suffering drives me to the point of obsession.

Publisher's Summary
This is the definitive story of the case against Jeffrey Epstein and the corrupt system that supported him, told in thrilling detail by the lawyer who has represented Epstein’s victims for more than a decade.
In June 2008, Florida-based victims’ rights attorney Bradley J. Edwards was 32-years-old and had just started his own law firm when a young woman named Courtney Wild came to see him. She told a shocking story of having been sexually coerced at the age of 14 by a wealthy man in Palm Beach named Jeffrey Epstein. Edwards, who had never heard of Epstein, had no idea that this moment would change the course of his life.
Over the next 10 years, Edwards devoted himself to bringing Epstein to justice, and came close to losing everything in the process. Edwards tracked down and represented more than 20 of Epstein’s victims, shined a light on his shadowy network of accomplices, including Ghislaine Maxwell, and uncovered the scope of his sexually exploitative organization, which reached into the highest levels of American society.
Edwards gives his riveting, blow-by-blow account of battling Epstein on behalf of his clients, and provides stunning details never shared before. He explains how he followed Epstein’s criminal enterprise from Florida, to New York, to Europe, to a Caribbean island, and, in the process, became the one person Epstein most feared could take him down. Epstein and his cadre of high-priced lawyers were able to manipulate the FBI and the Justice Department, but despite making threats and attempting schemes straight out of a spy movie, Epstein couldn’t stop Edwards, his small team of committed lawyers, and, most of all, the victims, who were dead-set on seeing their abuser finally put behind bars.

Riveting account of the pursuit to take down Jeffrey Epstein
This is an expertly researched and well written account of the ten plus year journey to find justice for the
victims of Jeffrey Epstein. I came to respect the courage and humanity of the underaged girls who told their stories of abuse and manipulation. This book provides hope that justice is possible, even when the guilty party is protected by vast sums of money and a circle of corrupt lawyers and powerful people. Anyone who has every had a daughter must read this book.

Why didn’t this book get main stream media reviews
Edwards book is the most unique view into the perverse world of Epstein I’ve come across in any medium. And yet, I cannot find any reviews of it in the main stream media. The silence is deafening.
It provided a dive into how and why the government dropped its case in Florida. The way the government operated is how we expect an authoritarian or failed state to behave. Perhaps Russia or N Korea but not in the USA. Well yes, in the USA where the rich and powerful corrupt government, pay no taxes and do as they please. Thanks to the perseverance of professionals like Edwards, their crimes can be brought to light.
This book is a page turner and it is so breathtaking, I’ve had to listen to it twice to fully absorb the crimes of the US government, Epstein and those in his orbit, and to comprehend the courage of Edwards and the Epstein victims. Unfortunately, there will be other Jeffrey Epstein’s lining up to take his place and the merry go round will continue.
In any case, thank you Mr. Edwards for helping to make sure Epstein could not climb back under his rock and drag more victim with him.

Suicide, or is it...
I should have known this story would be too much for me. But I was curious about the story. Sadly, he died too quickly to get true justice. I feel awful for all the women who were hurt by this monster. And I’m disgusted that he was so cowardly to hill himself. But then again... maybe it wasn’t suicide. Lots of people in high places have strong ties to Epstein. Hard to rule out suspicious death when the video cameras were off at the time and both guards said they were “sleeping”.
This guy is so bad and so evil, I couldn’t finish the book.
