Publisher's Summary

No matter how far you run...
Your demons always find you.

The Savage Saints took everything,
leaving me orphaned, my dad bleeding out in my arms.
I couldn’t get away fast enough.
I took their money -
they owed me that much after everything they stole from me -
and left to start a new life.
Go to med school.
Forget the past.
But how can I forget everything -
everything that happened,
everything I lost -
when my new life is built on their dirty money?
Everything I own is tainted.
The only way out is to pay it all back.
There’s a hitch in my plans I didn’t take into account, though.
Trace, the Savage Saints president.
He’s gruff, but betrays a gentle side.
At least where I’m concerned.
Our attraction is instant,
our chemistry undeniable.
But giving in to him means riding straight back into the life that destroyed me once already.
Will I survive a second time?

Awful!

No idea why this book has over 4 stars? It is truly ghastly! A biker that says "oh my goodness", says it all.

Charlie's Angels MC

Story OK - not hard core but with right narrator would have made 1%er MC believable. Unfortunately the violent and sexual actions that usually draw readers to this genre bordered on amusing LOL moments because it sounded like a group of squeeky sorority girls trying to be badass. Narrator did not have ANY masculine voice ranges. Imagine the girl choir from Pitch shouting orders at a military like strike against biker rivals, explicit celebratory sex demands of club girls, or using expletives in high feminine tones - weird.
I stuck with it but have no interest in sequels (or squeals) without a different narrator.

BEST INTENTIONS AREN’T ALWAYS THE BEST SOLUTIONS

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

Tracy “Trace” Cole is a Savage Saints biker who became president of the club when Jane Peters’s father was murdered. They had feelings for each other and she left. Ten years later, their paths cross and they decisions as to whether they will have a relationship need to be made. Amongst kidnapping, murder and club related rivalries, Hazel weaves a great story.

The narration makes the listener feel included.

A very good story!

I really enjoyed the story, but the narration was just okay. It was fine for Jane and even Trace, but when a few of the bikers had fairly high pitched voices, it definitely got distracting. This story would have definitely benefited from a second narrator for the male voices.
Overall it was still good.

Great story and Narration.

It was a great story. The narrator did a great job distinguishing the characters by voice. I really enjoyed it.
I love how Trace and Jane's relationship is depicted. How they both struggle with their own opinions and relations toward the Club. It was good to see them grow to their own conclusions and figure out how they fit together in that life.
I recommend listening if you like a good MC Romance.

Not a good MC book

First the narration was horrible for the masculine characters especially for Splitter and Trace. Yuck!! Next the story was a bit hokey. He gets shot in the arm and passes out so they rich him to the ER...what a weenie. The story and or Margaret just made the guys seem so weak. Not worth your money.

a good story line

I really like the storyline. But you can't get past the narrator unfortunately she needs some of the guys sound like teenage boys just going through puberty when they're supposed to be tough bikers I probably would have been better if it was a male narrator. I just couldn't listen anymore. I'm sure she's great with other story.

Ok

If you want a SOA type story than this is for you. However, for me I wasn’t into it. I like MC stories but this felt too SOA to me.

An Emotional Hot Ride

Jane and Trace's story was an emotional rollercoaster of a listen which I found myself engrossed in from beginning to end. As I listen mostly in my car commuting to and from work for one I didn't mind the delays due to traffic.

Jane's father was the founder of the Saints MC he brought Jane up alone, as her sole parent since her birth. There was a few years difference in their ages but that didn't stop Jane and Trace becoming close. As the daughter of the founder, she was off-limits but their connection was there nevertheless but Trace kept his true feelings buried deep.

Her father thought Jane could and should have more than an MC Club in her future and he didn't want her involved in his club. The plan was for Jane to go to college and become a doctor. But during a visit home her father was killed leaving her an orphan.

Growing up with the Saints was all she knew, leaving them behind was hard she was leaving a piece of her heart. But Jane can't forget her history and she goes back to the town she grew up in. She feels she has to pay the saints back for all they have done for her, they paid her medical school fees and were like her family. But since her father's death Trace has become the club president and all their buried feelings resurface.

While a relationship between them may be all wrong it feels right.

I enjoyed this book when I read it when it was first released but listening to it narrated so well and with so much feeling was a very moving and enjoyable experience. But be aware there are some steamy scenes so don't like me have the windows open in your car!

Wonderful story

I have already read the story and I was glad when it was released on audio, the narration, though female was good, I thought a male narrator would have been better but I still loved it.
