From the powerhouse author of  The Memo, the essential self-help book for women of color to heal - and thrive - in the workplace

In workplaces nationwide, women of color need frank talk and honest advice on how to deal with microaggressions, heal from racialized trauma, and find relief from invisible workplace burdens. Filled with Minda Harts’ signature wit and warmth, Right Within offers strategies for women of color to speak up during racialized moments with managers and clients, work through past triggers they may not even know still cause pain, and reframe past career disappointments as opportunities to grow into a new path. Through action points, exercises, and clear-eyed coaching, Harts encourages women to summon hidden reserves of strength and courage. She includes advice from therapists and faith leaders of color on a full range of ways to heal. Right Within will help women of color strengthen their resolve across corporate America, ensuring that we can all, finally, rise together.

This book was amazing

The context, integrity, honesty in thought was so gratifying! Experienced most of this racial trauma in the workplace at some point in time and never realized that I did not heal. I’m ready now and look forward to the pledge

Mend da hearts!

Minda Harts = Mend da hearts!
An absolutely positively good read! The musical references softened this hard topic.
Nice to know I wasn't overreacting, being too sensitive nor misinterpreting the bias and microaggressions as friends suggested.
Thank you Minda for taking the time to help and heal us!

Unfairness

I loved her book with professional relationships. Small businesses also go through these issues and hide behind nepotism and mesaugany. I applied her theory for the small business where I work.

Whew CHIIIILLLLLE! THIS BOOK!

#RightWithin was the hardest book ive ever read in my life, but not in the traditional sense. When you think “hard” you automatically think of it being difficult to grasp and understand, however, for me it was quite the opposite. Reading this book was like a mirror, encouraging me to face both past and present experiences in the workplace to celebrate my wins and “dig a little deeper” in understanding them simultaneously. Im grateful for Minda and this wonderful book for allowing me the opportunity to exercise introspection in this way.

That being said, I loved how Minda was able to effortlessly intersect aspects of spirituality, pop culture, and humanity in a way that was both relatable AND entertaining. I highly encourage EVERYONE to read this if you operate in a corporate environment as a means to start understanding others on a deeper level, especially those whom you share little to no social/economic relation to.

I never knew a book could have such a tremendous impact on my life. I have taken so many notes that I will carry with me no where I go
