Publisher's Summary

Atticus and Neil are the newly crowned "hottest male narration team" for Mmm-Mmm romance, and they're flying high on the praise.

Nothing can get them down.

Until Vera and Cameron usher a mysterious voice onto the scene and shake the foundation of the audiobook industry itself.

In a world where humanity is all we have, can our group of former friends band together to save the future of storytelling? Or are audiobooks destined to be nothing more than a bunch of beep beep boop?

Hilarious

Another terrific entry in this series! It was just as funny as the previous audiobooks, and the narrators are fully inhabiting their characters. They all seem to be having so much fun recording this that it is impossible not to have fun right along with them. The epilogue was sheer genius, and I plan on replaying that many times over.

My go-to for when I need a laugh!

I finished this series a while ago and Erin Mallon did not disappoint. I laughed all the way through. Not only is Erin an amazing talent narrator but her comedic writing abilities did not lack either!
I can’t wait to see what else she puts out!
Plus, it was wonderful to see a behind the scenes look when it comes to audiobook recording AND the bloopers were a wonderful add in for the listeners.

I am such a huge fan of all of the cast members that were involved and their talent is absolutely out of this world!

Just as great as the rest of them!

These Walls Can Talk is back with part three!!! Full cast narration is my jam. I've been saying for at least the last ten years that robots are going to overtake us one day and destroy us and I'm glad we at least survive the audiobook bot. Hopefully we will learn something from this 😅 This part of the play takes us through an exploration of having a robot narrate one of the author's books. We get to see how this narration change impacts this group of author and narrator friends. This part of the play is made by Jason Clarke's robot voice. He can narrate, sing, speak robot, narrate robot… what can't he do? So many funny moments here also! Barnswallow Johnson… "some more"… I heard you swallow and all the rest of the bloopers! I love when we have bloopers!

Laugh out loud fun!

I love this series of plays, each one gets more hilarious. There was so many great moments throughout this one like the introduction of Artie Smarts. I love Erin’s writing and humor. This how series of audio plays will always be my go to when I need a laugh. I loved the rap battle and love that bloopers where included. The whole cast was phenomenal again and the addition of Jason Clarke as Artie. He did an incredible job as the AI voice narration. This was another hysterical installment from Erin and I hope to see more of these characters in the future.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Erin Mallon is an amazing writer and story teller. The cast was outstanding as always. My only regret, as usual, it was too short. Thank you for another glimpse into your imagination and the world of narration.

Out of this world!

Where else could you find a multicast recording that features the most popular voice actors in romance audiobooks and takes on the controversial subject of replacing voice actors with AI? This voice play is humorous, entertaining, features lots of sexual innuendo and a rogue robot played brilliantly by Jason Clarke! I loved the continuing friendships, the romantic relationships and the sound production that is out of this world. Thank you to all of the excellent narrators and kudos to Erin Mallon for her brilliant and witty mind. I had a blast!

No Skynet for us! lol

Atticus and Neil are the new hottest Mmm-Mmm romance narrator duo... until Vera and Cameron bring a new "voice" to the scene: Artie Smarts. But there is something about this Artie person than can be very dangerous to the audiobook indistry. The "Narwal" and his friends will band together because nope, they are not having it!

If you, like me, are an audiobook enthusiast, you've certainly listened to Erin Mallon's wonderful audioplays. In this third installment of These Walls Can Talk, "Skynet" is real and is about to replace our beloved narrators! (Or at least they'll try!) Nope! No! Never! Jason Clarke is incredible as the AI robot who's apparently become sort of sentient - and also kinda scary. The story is hilarious but yeah, we know people are using synthetic voices to narrate several things. We've become accustomed to the Siris and Alexas but NOTHING will replace these talented people because narration is an A R T.

So, my shoutout to the amazing cast: Joe Arden, Andi Arndt, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Tanya Eby, Teddy Hamilton, Erin Mallon, Maxine Mitchell and Emma Wilder. You guys can never be replaced!

DO NOT SKIP THE BLOOPERS!!!  LOL

Possible "triggers": Well, I was definitely "triggered" by the very idea of a synthetic voice reading my books. NOPE. NO. NEVER. NOOOOOOOOOO.

(I understand the amazing thing it is for the people who are unable to read with their eyes to have a voice to read to them. It is wonderful. This is not what I am screaming against. )

Simply Amazing

Just when you think Erin Mallon has thought of everything, and there is nothing else she can bring to the These Walls Can Talk series about the audiobook community, she lets you know how wrong you were to think such foolishness.

We’re back with the whole gang-Joe Arden (Atticus aka The Narwhal), Tanya Eby (Georgia), Shane East (Cameron), Emma Wilder (Jennifer aka Niffer), Teddy Hamilton (Neil), Andi Arndt (Vera), Maxine Mitchell (Andrea), and Erin Mallon (Narrator and Frankie) all return. And this time, they have Jason Clarke as Artie Smarts with them.

Artie is an AI. In this current climate of authors and companies wanting to use AI in audiobooks (much to listeners objections) it was a very clever and hilarious way to show the downside of it. As will all things Erin there are layers to this story and it also deals with boundaries when people make themselves available on social media. There are some lines that just seem funny at first listen but then stick with you and make you think differently. It’s one of the things I love about Erin’s writing.

Each of the voice actors brings something unique and brilliant to the character they voice. However, Jason Clarke steals the show as Artie. It is like you have never heard him before. Trust me, if you think you’ve heard all sides to Jason, he’s about to prove you wrong.

I will never get enough of this series. I hope there will be more in the future because I love these characters and the look behind the curtain of the audiobook industry. Add in the interactions of the voice actors and it is something special to experience.

Thank you to Erin Mallon, Joe Arden, Andi Arndt, Shane East, Tanya Eby, Teddy Hamilton, Maxine Mitchell, Jason Clarke, and Emma Wilder for creating such an amazing listening experience and entertaining us in such a wonderful way.

Delightful!!!

Erin Mallon has captured so many details with this book. I loved how she brought together so many fantastic narrators for this book. The outtakes were hilarious, the storyline flowed, and the performances were top-notched! I so love it when an author does a multi-cast book, and find it even better when the author is a narrator herself. This is a delightful listen and the perfect ending to the series IF THESE WALLS CAN TALK.

FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN!

Erin Mallon has written an entire series of audio plays that is essentially a love letter to and a wink-wink, nudge-nudge look inside the creation of romance audiobooks. There is no better genre to both divide and unite people in the community. Romance listeners are dedicated and passionate, and will through their entire hearts into support the authors and narrators they love.

Rise of the Machine is a hysterical take on the emergence of AI in voice acting. The fact that Jason Clarke, arguably one of the most successful male romance narrators, plays a robot just proves how a robot wouldn't be even half has good as the human playing the robot according to my ears. He was hysterical, and I could not stop laughing as he went through demonstrating the narration tones of different genres. That was not only a fun bit, but it was scarily spot-on!

The all-start cast is reunited, and we get to catch up with our favorites from the first two TWCT plays. Niffer, Andrea, Cameron, Vera, Georgia, Neil, Atticus, Frankie are all back to take on Arty Smarts!

I love this series so much, and it's a go-to when I need to laugh. Erin Mallon can write plays that tug at your heartstrings, plays that make you go "hmmm...." and plays that just make you laugh out loud. All of them are witty and enjoyable. So go pick this up, and all of her plays. You won't regret it.

Erin does it again! Beep beep boop perfection!

These Walls Can Talk 3: Rise of the Machine is the third and final book in this audio play series see’s the amazing narrator crew back together again for one last hoorah with the addition of the amazing Jason Clarke.

After TWCT and TWCT2 I honestly didn’t think there was any way Erin could improve on the awesomeness, but she pulled it out the bag in the first 30 seconds. A little heads up would’ve been nice though, I spat out perfectly good tea when Neil said the name of his and Atticus’ production company. The comedy was off the charts funny, the banter between the characters was quick and snappy and I will never recover from that rap…lyrical genius! Oh, and the bloopers, I almost pee’d my pants! I can’t wait to see this amazing cast perform live in Vegas in October; it’s going to be hilarious.

The entire cast was incredible, Shane East reprising his role as Cameron, Andi Arndt as Vera, Emma Wilder as Jennifer, Maxine Mitchell as Andrea, Tanya Eby as Georgia, and Erin Mallon as Frankie. I have to shine a spotlight on Joe Arden and Teddy Hamilton who will forever be known as #swallowthejohnson these two were amazing together and that rap, holy shit, Joe was phenomenal supported by Teddy and their harem of ladies. Jason Clarke is a newcomer to the cast as Artie Smarts the AI and my goodness, he puts on a spectacular performance. What a fabulous addition, I couldn’t have loved this more.

If you haven’t listened to these plays that were written by the woman who quite literally can do ANYTHING, where have you been and what have you been doing? Download them all immediately, buckle up and enjoy the fun train. Beep beep boop!

A Satirical and Poignant Comedy

Erin Mallon does it again with These Walls Can Talk #3: Rise of the Machine! She has brilliantly created a satirical and poignant comedy putting a spotlight on real issues and conversations being had in the audiobook community. The cast from season 2 is back, reprising their roles with the addition of Jason Clarke in a role unlike any I have heard him in before.

This may be my favorite of all 3 of these audio plays (and my name was in the 2nd one). I laughed from the very beginning all the way through to the bloopers which had me in stitches. This play has humor (obviously) but also, anger, sadness, betrayal, secrecy, deception, danger and of course a little romance. My husband and I listened on a long car ride, and we were both laughing throughout, and sometimes he is a hard sell when it comes to comedy.

This play is fully edited with sound effects that worked really well with the play as a whole when listening on speakers in the car. I finished the play with headphones for the last 5-10 minutes, and some of the effects were a little distracting with my AirPods in, but overall I found they enhanced the listening experience.

This is a play best consumed in one sitting and I fully intend to listen multiple times to pick up on nuances I missed.

Five hilarious stars
I cannot adequately express how much I loved this audio play. Erin Mallon is a comedic genius and this cast is brilliant.

Incredible!

Another piece of audio perfection from the Queen of audio plays herself, Erin Mallon. Each narrator was made for their characters and had me crying with laughter throughout. I can't imagine how many takes some of those scenes took, ha! Incredible performance. Jason Clarke's robot voice was mind bogglingly good!

Also, the bloopers as always, were brilliant!
