Publisher's Summary

Against all odds, Rob and the Deserters have survived their second encounter with the eldritch abomination–known as the Blight–only for Rob to make first contact with the gods of Elatra in a very...aggressive way.

His enemies keep on piling up, and things are looking to get even tougher from here on out. If Rob and his friends want to survive their upcoming trials, they'll need to gain Levels, make new allies, and travel to the ends of the world and back again. Along the way, they'll discover some of the secrets behind Elatra's history, shaking their preconceptions of the world to its very core.

But what else is new? Rob has known for a long time that nothing was going to be easy. He's lost count of how many times he's almost died since being dragged through a portal against his will. Whether he's up against monsters, gods, or creatures beyond comprehension, Rob is determined to overcome it. He'll protect his friends, find a way home, and above all, survive.

There's no other choice.

Loved every second!

Cannot wait for the 4th installment on audible. I listen to LitRPGs at work for 8-12 hours a day. My day flies due to the epic joint effort of the author and the man reading this. Thank you. I look forward to the next!

Amazing

One of my favorite series out there, can't wait for the next one. Some others have said they didn't like the #!@#$!%@%@! chapter since it went on for so long but I think it shows his determination and insanity. That being said I'm pretty sure the @!@#!!#$ are supposed to be single, drawn out, ear piercing static sounds, and not a list of symbols like how it was preformed. Overall though great performance and getting better each book.

can't wait for the next one.

The series is really really good. I cannot wait for the next one. I also hope to see Rob finally get back to Earth at some point or Jason to come to the New world also. I would love love to see like an ender shadow version that follows Jason from you know getting level 1 to level two his current levels. that would be an amazing book for after the series. please wait till after the series

one of the best litrpgs

I love this series, though a few notes. I am growing tired of leveling high crap. it seems like a cheap ploy to pull more drama into fights. twice in this book the author has half a page of the same thing being said over and over again. bad form dude. nobody wants to listen to the performer repeat the same line for 5 minutes. and later on, I hope it comes out that kismet is on his side. if I was a God that had been around for who knows how long. and one that focuses on chance like kismet. a creature like Rob who defys odds at every turn... I would watch the heavens burn just to see how far he could go. the value of an interesting creature in an endless existence of boredom is not to be unestimated

one of the best books I ever read start to finish

I honestly must say like I said it is one of the best books I ever read it was funny it had great action in it and the narrating was great it was all around a good book plus the first two books they was also funny and everything else like that great amount of action and I like to have how he has this like this level and a half but somehow he's able to keep himself from losing it and then sometimes he does lose it so I like that about this book is this it has an equal amount of romance and action so another three all three books were great all three and hope to make a fourth and a fifth if they can.

The third installment was worth a listen

Good story with a hero that overthinks every decision and is crippled with ptsd and self loathing. The narration is brilliant and the story has me dancing in its palm. No buyers remorse here.

Honestly amazing

I was hooked by the first two books in a way I honestly can’t explain. the Author built a dark and gritty but fantastic fantasy world that I couldn’t help but be obsessed with!!! if you are contemplating reading books 3, do it and do it now!!! book 3 really rounds out the feelings of struggle and darkness that comes from the the first two books in a great way while not taking away from the plot or making it feel rushed. The character building really takes off while also having a great amount of action and adventure that is absolutely thrilling and makes me excited for more world building with enough content to make me satisfied and crave more at the same time

Just as brilliant as the first two.

Neil Hellegers has brought so much life to the characters, I got lost in the story again and again.
