Imagine Mr. Spock reading Gogol

I’ve listened to many of Gogol’s works, both the comic and the historical. “Dead Souls” is my favorite test of a narrator’s performance, since the sample provided by Audible gives me enough content to judge the attitude of the reader to Gogol’s rich and diverse characters.

This «Рим» is singular in the narrator’s flatness of delivery. I wanted the exuberance of Respighi; but I got a lecture with a PowerPoint.
