Publisher's Summary
Among a band of brothers, nothing is so despised as a spy.
Ruadri Skaraven lives two lives. In one, he serves as the healer of his clan, trusted like no other with their well-being. But in the other, he serves the enigmatic druids because, secretly, he is also druid-kind. Though he’s lived with the shame for years, it is only when another healer sees into his heart that his two lives collide.
Emeline McAra doesn’t know who she is anymore. Though, at first, she tenderly nursed her fellow captives, a new violent anger grows deep in her soul. Nor can she escape her overwhelming desire for the clan’s enormous shaman. It baffles her because the one thing she has always known is that no man would ever truly want her.
But while the two healers struggle to find their way, the McAra clan lays claim to her, and Ruadri’s chieftain must turn her over or risk war.

Just okay enough
The books are just okay enough to keep listening to what happens to the rest of the women.
Hazel Hunter- spice it up a bit with differing scenarios on how they find each other.
Everyone likes backstory on characters; more of that would really add to the depth of the novel.

So very formulaic.
On book 3 and I know what will happen next. I like the characters but between a lackluster overall background story and no element of surprise I'm not spending anymore credits on it. There are 2 sex scenes in each book and they are HOT but still not worth the credits.

Healers travel back in time to the beginning.
Ruadri is suspenseful, full of love and adventure. Keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering where the next crisis will come from. Can our main characters save her future? Will their love conquer their personal demons? Will his secrets keep them apart. A trip to the past that can save their future. Will they succeed. Is there to be a war and can the Skaravens keep the world safe from maniacs?
Emeline McAra has been kidnapped from her time and brought back to Scotland in the Middle Ages. Recently rescued from a couple of insane druids with her other 3 friends, she can't shake this feeling of rage that keeps coming into her. Emeline and her friends are all descendants of druids and their powers are enhanced by being brought back in time. Emeline's gift is to feel other's feelings. She can't shake the Skaraven shaman who is constantly following her as per his orders and his feelings for her. Ruadri is the Skaraven shaman and has a centuries old secret that if revealed will get him killed. he's been in love with her ever since seeing Emeline when in a dream during his death. After being brought back as an immortal along with his clan they've been trying and succeeding in rescuing these 5 woman from the insane druids holding them captive. Emeline has been fighting the rage that wants her to hurt others but she doesn't know where its coming from. When she can't hold on any longer and attacks one of her friends she's put in the pit dungeon for safety until a cure can be found. Ruadri wants to help her but she's so attracted to him she doesn't want him near because she thinks he just wants to use her like all men in her time did. When he comes and takes care of her in the dungeon and partially heals her, they make a plan to take her to the sacred grove to so Emeline can go back to her time and finish healing. They are instead taken farther back in time to the start of her clan. Emeline's clan take them in and they try to figure out why they were sent back there. Figuring that it's to save the Wood Dream druids they make plans to warn them. They aren't able to fight their feelings and desire any longer and make love and become mates. Emeline realizes that she's beautiful and has true friends and a better life in this time than going back to the 21st century. Ruadri reveals his past and the secret he's kept for centuries. They love each other despite their pasts. Not able to save the Wood Dream druids they realize that they're to save Emeline's clan. They go to Ruadri father for help and have to force his involvement. While leaving through the portal Emeline is shot with an arrow. Returning to Ruadri's time she can't survive in the condition she's in. Ruadri confesses about his traitorous dealings and what happened with him and Emeline. He wants to die to be with Emeline but Brennus takes his ring and puts it on the necklace he had made for her to bring her back to life.
Brennus and Althea go to talk peace with Bahltair Flen at the McAra clan's house who are allies. When Flen innocently reveals about Emeline to the clan and to prevent war must be brought to the clan even though she's from the future. The War Master is taken hostage until she's brought to the McAra strong hold. After returning home Brennus receives a note from Flen wanting to meet at an inn. When he arrives no one is around and all he hears is Flen's voice. He soon realizes its a trap and barely escapes. He and a group of his men go to the village to find Flen only to realize that his ovate has tried to kill Brennus and frame Flen and the ovate is actually more evil than expected. Working together they inform the McAra clan. A new servant is looking for information in the McAra household.
Hazel Hunter has kept me guessing with each book in the series. She has me wondering who will be the next to find love with their woman from the 21st century. Who is the new servant at in the McAra household and what do they want with the Skaraven clan? Who's past/future will be altered or changed by love to help save Middle Ages Scotland and the future. Will the Skaraven clan help Flen defeat the insane druids and their army. I look forward to reading more of the Skaraven series and when it unfortunately ends, hoping that a new clan of Immortal Highlanders can find the love of their lives by going to the future or the love of their lives travelling back in time to them. More please Hazel Hunter.

I think this may be her best book yet
Ive been reading Hazel Hunter for a long while now and have read just about every series she has written so far and I think I just found my favourite series to date. I’ve loved all of her other series but this series is just something a little bit extra. Ms Hunter has taken time travel to a whole new level in this series.
I love how she can flesh out a story to make the characters so you either love them or hate them or even just want to give them a good slap up the back of the head sometimes.
In this book we meet again Ruadri and his time traveling heroine Emeline. I will admit that their love is strong especially on Ruadri side of things, Emeline did grate on me a little bit. But I did love the storyline of this book.
And of course who doesn’t love William Macleod as a narrator.

Ruadri and Emeline are perfect for one another,..
From the beginning I have been looking forward to Ruadri's story. I have been intrigued by this immortal warrior whose allegiance to his Skaraven Clan is firmly entrenched, while also bound to the druid. There are many layers and elements in this story, that make for a very good listening experience. Ruadri and Emeline are perfect for one another, both committed to caring for others, while both are in need of comfort and care themselves. The chemistry between the pair is tangible, brought to life by the melodic voice of the narrator. A well written story of two people who never expected to a find a love worth fighting for.

A wonderful audible book!
This book is about Ruadri, and Emeline. They both are healers in their own right. They both are fighhting inner turmmoil. Ruadri has dreamed about Emeline, and knows she is his mate. Emeline is a descendant of the McAra clan. Will the Chieftan turn her over? Will there be a war, if he does not? Ruadri and Emeline become mates as they are destined to be. Will their union be torn apart? This book has romance, love, and war. The book is well written. The narrator did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life!!!!

Unasked for Questions answered.
Hazel has brought to us another great romance. The story continues with the third book Ruadri. Ruadri is the shaman of Clan Skaraven and is drawn to Emeline McAra, the nurse from our time. Amidst the prisoners, the women have known her to be the sweetest and kindest people they ever met. Upon obtaining freedom, there seems to be something darker harboring in her soul. On top of this, her kinsmen who are allied with the Clan are requesting her brought to them or there will be war.
In the efforts to find a cure for Em, Ruadri takes her to the druid portal as it will heal anyone who travels through it. They get brought back to the past, in which some questions that readers might not have had were answered. But can these two manage to get back to the 14th century before the clans come to war? Will their bond to each other stand up against all the forces that wish them apart? Have a listen and enjoy the book, I know that I did.

Ruadri
Are you ready for another highlander story. This was takes you on emtional journey of Em and Ruadri.
Ruadri is the shaman of his tribe but he also has a secret that he has been keeping from his brothers. His father is not a nice man and did some pretty awful things to him. His father also threatened him that if he told his secret he would destory his brothers.
Em was nurse from Scotland in the future she was one of the women who were taken from her time. She had no family and the few friends that she did have she knew that they weren't the nicest to her.
Ruadri knew Em was the person from his dream but the way she was acting he knew something was wrong. He realized that she was a soul seer. All the feels she was having from everyone else was physically making her lise her mind. When he helped her escape Dunmore he wasn't sure if he was ever going to see her again. The adventure the two of them set out on was an emotional journey for the both of them. They found out each others secrets but helped each over come some of the self loathing that jad for themselves.
I am a huge fan of this series and I really like listening to their story as the narrator brings their story to life.

Best Scottish Time Travel Romance
The story is beautifully written; the descriptions are stunning, and the analogies are exquisite. The writing is tangible; your senses awaken as though you're in the very centre of every event, experiencing them alongside the characters. Hazel Hunter's incredible imagination, enchanting world-building, and powerful words will captivate you from start to end.
The storyline is riveting, alluring, and utterly engaging, loaded with adventure, suspense, betrayal, intrigue, and romance. Just when you think you've figured out how the story will play out, once again, a curveball is thrown, redirecting and obliterating all your assumptions.
The series is written so that each instalment is interwoven, and the plots proceed to the ultimate conclusion. The ending is flawless and emotional, leaving you feeling satisfied. The twist at the very end has me wanting to jump into the next book.
The main characters, Emeline, the nurse and Ruadri, the clan shaman, are genuine, with depth and vulnerabilities. Their love is destined, and their devotion and passion for one another will melt your hearts. As for their story, it's compelling, the connection is palpable with charged chemistry.
William Macleod's performance is brilliant. He channels the characters, applying distinct tones for the various personality, bringing them to life. With his delectable Scottish brogue, he sweeps you off your feet, further immersing you into the story. I can't wait to hear the rest of the series!
The combination of a phenomenal plot, incredible characters, and outstanding narration makes Immortal Highlander, Clan Skaraven series standout in the genre. I highly recommend the series.

This series gets better and better!
First off, if you haven't heard or read the first two books in the series, please do so. The plot, characters and story development can be better appreciated with prior knowledge of series.
I am really enjoying this series. I loved the two main characters in this book. Ruadri is part Skaravan and part Druid, which muddied his sense of identity and adds depth to this characters. He is strong, skilled and so very vulnerable. Emeline is also strong, skilled and vulnerable though in her own right. In this they are perfectly matched and balanced. But that was never in doubt. The development of their relationship is sweet and hot and very satisfying.
But, perhaps the more interesting part of this story is the larger plot surrounding the Skaraven, the mad druids and their immortal army. There are new developments, new allies and new enemies. The story just keeps getting better!
William MacLeod has a deliciously deep narrative voice that is a real pleasure to listen to. Ahh! To have that voice whisper sweet nothings in my ear (swoon-worthy!!)
