Terrific cast performance, mind blowing ending.
I really enjoyed the benefits of a full cast on this book, especially Dolly. The story has multiple moments of danger. The main character makes some dangerous and stupid decisions and I found myself wondering what has this woman been through to be so bloody stubborn and reckless. Definitely NOT the ending I expected. My mind was blown. -Christina

Excellent! Loved it!
The story was sweet and entertaining. I enjoyed the narration of the full cast and Dolly Parton’s input. Would have loved it if the words of the songs were sung, rather than read

awful I had to return it
I've listened to over 400 books this is the worse, I really like dolly Parton thats why I got the book but couldn't carry on, the narration is very grating, the plot line is very poor and I'm sorry to say I couldn't listen to dolly she sounded like she was tripping over her false teeth, so so disappointed, I'm sorry if this is controversial just my opinion

Amazing
I love reading this book it’s taken me ages to listen to it but it feels like Dolly Parton is with you. It makes the book feel alive when she’s talking.

Fabulous
I loved this book, really enjoyed the story great narration & the characters were brought to life by the different actors. Am a big fan of Dolly Parton & country music- I live in the UK & have always wanted to go to Nashville - so I might have to book my ticket. Looking forward to the next book.

A good feel story
A love story where the good guy saves the damsel in distress. An easy to listen to story, fast paced with a happy ending. Good to play the music album alongside it if you can, but not essential.

Run Rose Run! Brilliant
My first audible book and it was brilliant!
Having been a Patterson fan for a long time this book did not disappoint. Dolly Parton is excellent and the Annie Lee and Ethan story really made me want to listen along every chance I could!

terrible story saved by Dolly's voice!
Easy listening but predictable and gratuitous female violence. Not a lot of intrigue and the "big reveal" could have been guessed in chapter 1.

Why read it when you can have Dolly read it to you?
Loved the story and the performance. Was hoping a couple of the songs would have finished off the book. Highly recommend

A bit cringe
I felt myself rolling my eyes a lot during this. The story felt a bit contrived. I did listen the whole way through but I didn’t feel overly invested in the characters.
I liked the use of different voices for different characters and hearing Dolly Parton’s voice was fun.
I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it.

It's Truly Awful!
I stuck with this book to the bitter end. Goodness knows why! It's such a badly written tale with so many loose ends.
Don't waste your money.
I love Dolly but if this is the best she and James Patterson could come up with then here's hoping this is a one off.
