Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today bestseller Aurora Rose Reynolds turns up the heat in this tale of new adventures, dangerous decisions, and undeniable attraction.

Cybil is the queen of bad timing. First, her fiancé breaks up with her days before their wedding. Next, she’s stuck going on a couples retreat in the Montana wilderness alone. And worst of all, now she’s fighting a growing attraction to the wilderness retreat’s rugged owner, Tanner.

Tanner has built his wilderness adventure service on a few key principles: never take unnecessary risks, never put anyone’s life in danger - and never, ever sleep with a client. The arrival of a beautiful new visitor, however, might mean bending the rules.

Two people looking for anything but romance may have just bumped into their soul mates. In the Montana wilds, any misstep can spell danger. Cybil and Tanner just have to decide if they’re brave enough to face their next adventure.

Wasn’t for me

The performance was great. I have no complaint on the narrators.
I typically don’t write reviews, but thought I should explain my rating.
This story wasn’t for me. Cybil acted and was treated like a child. All her friends acted as if Cybil was an idiot. If Cybil was a real person, “get new friends”. It became too much so I ended up dnf with less than 2 hours left. I enjoy insta love and finding one’s self tropes, which this book has. I couldn’t get past Cybil’s personality nor her friends to finish. There is a bit of a slow burn and a few spicy scenes…which I enjoy slow burns and spice. This book almost had it all for me. I’ll try another one of Aurora Rose Reynolds’s books since she does write well.

Good for when you need some comfort

I listen to all kinds of books, including a wide variety of romance (historical to super dark), but I tend to be less interested in small town stories. Every once in a while I just need something that's easy, maybe with some (non-angsty) drama or comedy. This one hit the nail on the head.
This is my first book by Aurora Rose and
I liked the characters and felt like a friend was telling me about her own fun story. Aaron Shedlock was AMAZING. It's so hard to listen to terrible country accents, but his was spot on. Plus that deep rumble of his 🔥🔥🔥
The female narrator, Avie, was also very good except that sometimes it sounded like she was wearing a retainer in her mouth. If it's possibly a speech issue, I'm not trying to be mean, but since it kind of came and went, I don't know what it could be. Regardless, they were fantastic together.

not what I expected from Aurora Rose Reynolds

I found myself skipping chapters, major bore. Nothing like what I've grown to expect from this author. Female narration was horrible for Tanner. What a waste of credit.

Seriously So Cute!

I really enjoyed this book! Tanner was such a swoonheart! He just melted me. He and Sybil had that instant chemistry that lead to an epic insta-love!! I loved the way they worked through their issues instead of shutting each other out. This was such a feel good read. It’s my first by Aurora Rose Reynolds but I’m so eager to get more from her! Avie Paige and Aaron Shedlock did amazing bringing Sybil and Tanner to life!

Easy listen and amazing book

There’s nothing like an Aurora Rose Reynolds book. I just love them so much. From the meet cute to the happily ever after and everything in between you can’t help but fall in love right along with the characters

Cybil and Tanner are one of my favorites from Aurora. Their story was so cute. I loved how right off the bat I immediately felt for Cybil and her predicament. But then we meet Tanner and I knew we had nothing to worry about, the story was in good hands when Aurora writes. Cybil is this sweet level headed klutz, she’s honestly such a kind person but she definitely winds up in the worst situations, I loved it. Tanner is this hot and friendly ex marine who you couldn’t help but love. He was hooked on Cybil from the moment she called him a thief and I smiled so hard knowing how hard he was going to fall.

I can’t wait for more in this series!! There’s promise for so much more and the tropes? Chef’s kiss! I love the side characters and I love it even more when there’s a story brewing

I always recommend Aurora’s books and this is no different. Go read this book if you love sweet contemporary romance with a hot alpha man who loves to protect his sweet woman and of course some cute funny scenes in between.

I loved the audiobook as well, these characters were brought to life in my ears. Amazing job!

Great Book

Let me start by saying I loved the audio of this book!!

This book is a great start to a new series and also my first of Aurora's books. And I am happy to say it won't be my last!

These characters are great and relatable. The connection these two have is adorable and you will be swooning.

I listened to this one in one sitting and I can't wait to see what happens next in the series!!

so good. so sweet. so hot.

(Tanner & Cybil): OM goodness. So sweet. Cybil is dealing with a breakup and the best way she knows how is to go on the couples retreat she bought for her ex. Tanner is part owner of the guided tour company in Montana. The two don't have a great first or second meeting but since it's a couples retreat and Cybil is alone, Tanner as the guide must be her partner. The two have a strong attraction towards each other but since Tanner is working, they try their level best to avoid anything inappropriate. The book is a slow burn but a beautiful build up in this relationship. ARR has built a beautiful backdrop for the story as well as given us good build up of all characters involved. The moments of intimacy are extremely hot and you can almost predict what will happen with these two. I really love this story. It was a nice change from what I normally read from this author.

feel good small town no angst romance

Cybil needed to get away after her fiance broke things off. What better way to do that than with a couples outdoors adventure retreat? Yes it was meant for her and her fiancé but she wasn't going to let the trip go to waste.
Enter Tanner...rugged, gorgeous and her guide who she partners with on this retreat.

I really love small town romance, especially when there's low angst!
Thank you Aurora for not going down the same road many other authors go down in romance and create unnecessary drama! This book was a perfect listen on a cold winter day. The only thing missing is a toasty fire and hot chocolate!!

Aaron is such a great choice for this book and I loved listening to his soothing voice as Tanner. Avie is brand new to me and I enjoyed her voice as Cybil!

A laugh and a swoon

Cute story, obviously well written. Both the setting and setup of this series reminds me of a particular Jill Shelvis series.

The story is not as hot and sizzling as some of aurora other books, however the interactions made me swoon over and over again.

Still kind of bummed about the narrator choices on aurora's last five or so books. These two aren't terrible. The womn has a nice tone to her voice but at times it sounds like she has mandibular problems. The guy is a pretty good narrator but sounds too old for the character.

Great

Another fabulous story from Ms Reynolds. Great narration and an intriguing cast of new characters to get to know and love. Cannot wait for the next book now
