Publisher's Summary

We were destined for disaster from the second we met....

Massimo D’Agostino is the heir to his father’s empire. Don’t be fooled by his handsome face or that piercing blue gaze. He’s no prince charming. He’s dangerous and feared, possessive and fierce.

Our first meeting began with a contract that forced me to marry him and sign my life away. I was a debt repayment and a pawn in his game to exact revenge against my father. The only way out is death.

I belong to him now. Me, the Balesteri Mafia princess. Pure and untouched.... Owned by the devil who placed me in a gilded cage.

But something unexpected happened the moment our paths collided. It made me want more of what he had to offer every time I lay beneath him.

Then the past came knocking at the door, and dark secrets scattered at my feet. Suddenly I don’t know truth from lies. Or who the monster in this story is. I thought it was my husband. Now I’m not so sure…

Ruthless Prince is the first book in the Dark Syndicate series. It is a stand-alone dark-mafia enemies-to-lovers arranged-marriage romance, complete with HEA and no cliff-hangers.

Contains mature content.

Male narrator ruins the experience!!

I am a huge fan of Faith Summer’s books and loved this series. The male narrator however is awful. He has annoying voice but worst when he does the female characters it’s down right cringey!!! Especially the way he voices the character of Candace. Candace is 25 and grew up in America like Massimo and his brothers. However, the narrator makes Candace sound like a 90 year old women who just got off the boat from Italy. I truly hope they have another male narrator for the other books in the series because this guy should not narrate female characters. Also Candace is a big part of the next 2 books in the series and I hate for him to ruin those books too. They should have just had the female narrator narrate the whole book. The male narrator ruined it for me.

Not a mystery

It could have been a lot shorter, the storyline had potential but all of the fluff took away from the story.

Story is good but the male narrators...

Story is great but the dude's sounds like he's old, doesn't fit very well with the character. The story line is great. The author needs to find a better narrator.

Ruthless Prince

I wasn’t sure about this book with the mix bag of comments I read but it turned out to be a good listen. It had some suspense, revenge, power hungry male alphas, love angst, sex and a HEA to round it off. Is it worth a credit sure if you like all of the above!

Good Story

I liked the story... but the male narrator voice was cool but not strong enough for the role. When he was to be mad it didn't really seem like he was mad. The female character was truly a princess didn't even know how to fight.

Pretty Good for the Genre

I’ve read/listened to a ton of books in this realm. It was dark enough to make me a bit uncomfortable, but not so dark that it made me feel complicit to a horrific crime.

Personal gripes: if you are going to make people Uber rich, get the details right. She wouldn’t drive a Miata or use bath and body works. Those details make me crazy. Google luxe brands, 5 second search.
The virgin thing is little overdone, but it you are going that route she would have watched or seen porn. She can’t be that naive and then know what bdsm is about. A 19 year old virgin that went to college won’t be that sheltered but also know about that.

Our alpha male was so often without bodyguards. There is no way someone of that caliber wouldn’t be without protection.

The twists were pretty obvious so it really frustrated me that our characters were the last to know.

The supporting cast was great. I appreciated that not everyone survived and got a happy ending. Tough world and not everyone makes it.

Performance; I think Lauren did a good job showing the confusion, vulnerability for Amelia.
I was not a fan of the voice for Mossimo. He sounded like an accountant or something.

It was a fun listen with enough dark to make it spicy. I’ll continue to follow Faith’s work. Not sure I will continue the series only because I think that the books will feel like a repackaging of the same thing. I def recommend.

Not bad

Although I liked the story and I did finish it. I really wanted to shoot the Heroin several times for being stupid and naïve. I will get the next one and see if it’s any better but why do the women alway have to be idiots in everyone’s books.

This is one of my favorite series. The Lauren and Antonio did a great job telling the story.

struggled to finish, don't waste your money/credit

the male narrator was not a good fit, did not fit the characters personality and to be completely honest made me cringe alot making skip until the female narrator started speaking. massimo is supposed to be a 29 year old but the narrator sounds like a man in his 50s adding to the cringe when it comes to intimate dialogue. the actual story is ok nothing exciting or binge worthy.
