Publisher's Summary

Number-one best seller

There’s a reason I never go to parties....

I saw him in a cloud of smoke, like sin made flesh. Even bruised and battered, I’d never seen anything more beautiful....

Unless I hate myself, I should stay far away from Nero.

He’s a heartbreaker.
A mess-maker.
A walking disaster.

Here’s the problem: I’m in deep trouble with a dirty cop. The only person who can save me is Nero. We’re not friends. If he saw me drowning, he’d throw me.

But he’s the only chance I’ve got.

He’s no hero, he’s a savage lover.

Savage Lover is the wild and reckless third act of the Brutal Birthright series. It’s a stand-alone bully mafia romance, complete with HEA and no cliff-hangers. It contains blazing-hot bedroom scenes for mature listeners only!

Lighter than the others

I love to read/listen to Sophie Lark's books. I'm on a mission to catch up reading/listening to all her books. Either I've been reading too much and becoming desensitized to the darkness, or this one really was lighter than the first two books. I loved it for being different though. It's hard not to like Nero and Camille. Camille surprised me with her goodness, but hidden dark tendencies. I can't relate to her mechanical passion, but LOVE her passion for vehicles. I feel like we could be friends if she'd have me. LOL Looking forward to the next read/listen!

Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher are excellent narrators. Lee was new to me. Both performed with such emotion, that it was like a movie rolling through my head.

Nero♥️Camille

Mero and Camille and bloddy perfect together!

I read tgis book as a standalone and although I enjoyed it, I'm definitely going to dive into listening /reading the previous books in the series.

I loved the duet narration of Lee and Michael! They gave the characters their own voices and were amazing

I loved the Darkness that forshadowed the storyline.

Sophie Lark is a new to me author and this definitely isn't going to be my last book from her.

WOW!!! Just WOW!!!

I received this audiobook free for an honest review as a member of the Pink Flamingo Productions Review Team. This story was awesome. It kept me on pins and needles throughout. This is quite the nail bitter story. It has all the elements of a great story. It has bullies, beautiful people, suspense, thrill, compassion and romance. There was a bit of angt, but just a small part. Definitely worth the listen/read. The narrators were excellent. They brought the story to life.

Nero Freaking Gallo

Nero freaking Gallo. I don't feel like anything else even needs to be said. He is exactly the kind of aloof, too cool bad boy whose confidence borders on godlike that I would have crushed on in high school. That one prize that everyone is trying for and he won't even acknowledge there is a game. Then there is Camille, all hard edges and innocence. The kind of girl that is written off because she works on cars instead of the perfect winged liner. Their chemistry is delicious. You will root for this couple the whole way through. I love them so much. This is by far the most swoon-inducing, pure, young love story of the series so far. Not to say there isn't that fun mafia element because there is and just chef's kiss.

The narration is easy to listen to and well paced.

To be young again

Camille is too good, takes care of her family, works hard to keep her family afloat, gets bullied, sacrifices everything for her little brother. Nero is the bad boy that all the girls want but doesn’t let anyone in, until Camille.
Fast paced and I enjoyed the bad things they did together…
They’re perfect together!

Savage Lover is so good

Nero Gallo is a bad boy extraordinaire. He is the most volatile of the Gallo Siblings and has a notorious reputation. He has know Camille since high school but only now takes a second glance at her.He finds her love of cars sexy as hell and quickly finds himself falling for her and it freaks him out.He is also very determined to prove himself to his family,he wants to show that he is more then just a loose cannon.Nero’s brain works in a messed up way,but it is also extremely calculative.I loved seeing the world through his eyes.Nero is also just sexy as hell. The way Camille describes him?Swoon alert.I absolutely loved Camille from the very beginning. She didn’t take crap from anyone and lived her life according to her own rules while always abiding the law. When she finds herself stuck after taking the fall for her brother.she quickly learns how to transform herself into a bad girl.I loved her sass and how she didn’t back away from a fight. Her refusal to fall for Nero was adorable and I love how she saw the man behind the front.she took the time to see him for how smart and caring he truly is.The narrators did an outstanding job telling this story.

Savage Lover

Wow! I love this series! This is the third book in the Brutal Birthright series. You can read them all as standalone books. This is Niro's book and it is insane! The end of the book has everything I imagined from a Mafia romance. Niro has never let anyone get close enough to get to know him, until Camille. They went to school together, but never really crossed paths. I think Niro and Camille are my new favorite couple. Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher did a fabulous job narrating these characters! I hope we eventually get Dante's book.

I'm a little disappointed

I didn't want the first 2 books to end. I was fast forwarding through this one. This is not the same Nero we were introduced to in previous books. He was more of a punk kid than the beautiful lunatic we were promised. the mains spend way to much time apart which is a complaint I had in the 2nd book too but I liked being in Nessa and Mikos heads so it was ok. these two characters Nero and Camille are not interesting if they aren't together. I hated the drug intrigue. But I loved how they bonded over cars and the bank stuff I wish there was more of that.

This has been my favorite dark series so far to I'm gonna press on and move to the next book.

Wow! I loved it!

This is the third of six books in the Brutal Birthright Series, a Bully Mafia Romance. Nero and Camille's story is captivating. Wow! I loved it. Nero is handsome, fearless, dark, and protective. Camille is strong, badass, and determined. They are perfect together. The storyline is fast paced, intriguing, and filled with suspense, action, and twists and turns. Larissa Thompson and Michael Gallagher did an amazing job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next installment, Bloody Heart. I HIGHLY recommend this Series. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Messy love

I adore this series and this book does not disappoint! I love that the POV goes back and forth and Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher are excellent in their portrayal of Camille and Nero. Nothing like a a-hole character that manages to redeem himself and the way these broken people get together warms my heart. ❤

PHENOMENAL

I swear each book is better than the last. Nero and Camille seem to cross paths again after high school. he saves her from the cops for street racing. Their lives will be forever entwined. she grew up poor he grew up rich. As Nero tries to help his family so does Camille. as they both navigate around a cop out for revenge or blood, they must figure out a way out.
These characters are amazing. I was pulled in from the start.
Sophie Lark has out did it again. I can't wait for the next one.

omg, I found some new narrators. They were perfect as Nero and Camille.

My Thoughts on Savage Lover

Every time I read a new book in this series, I feel like this might be my new favorite couple. And then I remember how much I loved the last couple and I second guess myself. So I think it's just best to say that Sophie Lark writes great stories with couples you love, even when they're up to very bad things. And that Nero and Camille are no exception to that. Camille was very different to the leading ladies of the previous two books, but she was absolutely fantastic for Nero. I loved how they not only had all these great levels to them, but they also had quite a bit in common. The story itself was so well developed. They each had their own things going on. They weren't thrown together by force but kept being drawn to each other. And it had yet another ending that I loved.

The narration was great as well. Lee Daniels was a new to me narrator, but she did great. I would love to hear more from her in future. Michael Gallagher I've heard in one other story, but really liked him in this one. He's one of those I think the more I listen to him, the more he'll grow in me.

I'm so excited to see what Sophie Lark had next. Both with this series and anything else.

Love Nero and Camille's story!

I love the Brutal Birthright series with its interconnected characters. This one was just as good as the first two. Nero and Camille's story was action-packed and laced with danger and suspense along with being sexy and steamy. The storyline is captivating and intense. It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I can't wait to listen to the next one in this series. Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher both did an amazing job bringing this story to life.

"If he saw me drowning, he’d throw me an anchor."

I received this audiobook via an Audiobook Obsession Promo Code & this is my voluntary review.

This is book 3 in the Brutal Birthright series by Sophie Lark and her fantastic writing has given this story of Nero, middle son in the Gallo Italian Crime family Fast and Furious meets The Italian Job vibes. Unlike the last two books which felt darker and like a gritty dance as the factions vied for power play & control of the city, this one was about a bad boy meeting his match in the form of reluctant spy Camille, the sassy mechanic whose protective sibling instincts get her under the boot of dirty cop.

He takes advantage of the fact her younger brother turned to dealing drugs to rich kids because the family is poor to make a desperate sister turn Criminal Informant to have her infiltrate the Organized Crime Ring of drug dealers in Chicago so he can hook himself Shark in a career making bust, no matter how many smaller fish lose their lives in the process and Camille is painstakingly aware that although shes exactly that kind of small fry, she wont be getting out of that net without help. Nero is less than impressed when his mobster party acquaintances mean he keeps seeing her at some less than savory parties. The writing flowed so well and the narration from Lee Daniels as Camille really brought to life her desperation, she cannot afford to go to prison, her father is sick, shes the only one to work the shop and her mother ran out on them years ago. She cant risk going to jail and letting Vic down, life didnt turn out great for her after high school but she wants better for him. I found her selfless big sister instincts completely relatable and she would suffer anything for her family even enduring the sleazy Officer Schultz. What started as a shared passion for cars has Nero deciding he hates seeing Camille risking her life, but she didnt ask for his input, in fact she'd rather he left her alone. As the Chicago Cops & Crooks dance threatens to swallow her whole he decides to pull off an Ocean's 11 style heist & help her out at the same time. He was born an Italian mobster after all, outsmarting the Boys in Blue, no matter how soiled their uniform... is in his blood after all, then he can concentrate on bending her over the hood of the cars they both love so much.

Loved this book and while it can be enjoyed as a standalone, you really should enjoy it as a series... its worth it!
