How brave must you be to love a dragon? Keira loves her rustic village life, but she doesn't love the man her overbearing mother expects her to marry. But that is of little consequence to her neighbors, especially as two newcomers have stirred up excitement in the village. The first new arrival is Aaron Drake, handsome and charming, and intent on pursuing Keira, which stirs up trouble with her mother and soon-to-be-betrothed. As for the other new arrival, who wants a fire-breathing dragon living in their backyard?

Publisher's Summary
Alexander Lucas is a man of faith, casino owner and vampire. He should be living the Reno high life of riches and immortality. Instead, he wakes each night despising the blood on his hands and begging for a reason to continue on.
The last beat of his heart took place shortly after losing his family to a gruesome and violent death. One snowy night, the creature who had been stalking him finally took his life, in turn giving him the gift of immortality. Yet, immortality to Alex is not a gift, but rather a curse to live in eternal pain.
Nearly a century of tortured existence leads him to a dumpster in a dark alley where he finds a reason for continuing on. Nestled between bits of debris and rubbish a tiny infant wails for help. He calls for his best friend and guardian angel, Danielle, who explains to him that he has been chosen to raise this baby, for she would someday become a very powerful, natural witch. She tells him it is now his job to protect her from the enemy who wants her so badly, yet also to be her father.
Thinking this angel is out of her mind, Alex refuses many times until Danielle convinces him that the enemy, Malcolm and his wife Levine, cannot obtain the child and that they are, indeed attempting to find her. He must keep her safe, because if evil hands raise her than she will grow to possess the power to annihilate them all.
Luckily, Alex is not alone, he has the Higher Collective to assist in his mission. With the combined powers of the vampires, angels, dark angels, witches, and warlocks, the Higher Collective prepares for a battle to protect the child from the evil she may possibly inherit.

Great start
This book definitely lured me into to wanting to learn more about this group and their battles. I loved the combination of all the paranormal working together for one common cause and I really hope more books are written as I want to learn so much more about other characters.
I think the narrator did a decent job taking the reader/listener through this book and bringing these characters to life and helping the listener fall into this story line.

Excellent story, and wonderful narration
Any additional comments?
Savior by Jennifer Malone Wright is a wonderful story about a group of beings working for the higher good. The group is made up of a diverse range of so called good and evil. The twist is, not all of the good are what you traditionally think of when you think God's army. George Kuch did a wonderful job narrating the many diverse characters. My bottom line: I cannot wait to experience more of both Jennifer Malone Wright and George Kuch.

Good vs Evil
The book had good coherence, meaning there are no loose ends, except who put the baby in the trash bin. It is written from the viewpoint of Alexander, who is a centuries old vampire who believes in god. Two of his companions are indeed a dark angel and a good, but fallen angel. With allies, they sought to kill an evil vampire, not realizing his wife was even more evil. I loved the narrator too.

Vampires, hunters, witches, magic, & mayhem!
This is one of my very first loves for a vampire novel. I first read it way back when it was released as The Birth of Jaiden. I fell in love all over again when I learned it was re-released entitled Savior. Listening to this audiobook gave me all the feels I originally felt & more. It is so fun to revisit this amazing world Wright created. To hear the characters come to life made it even better! The only thing I could ask for now is a sequel. That would make my year! :)
A world full of vampires, hunters, witches, magic, & mayhem await you!

Good mix of supernatural characters including light & dark angels, vampires etc, it was interesting how they all worked together as a collective. The book ends in a way which indicates there will be more books to follow. Good first book of the series. The narrator did a nice job at bringing the characters to life.
