Good story!💜

I enjoyed this storyline. The characters were fun, the chemistry was hot and there was just enough drama to keep me intrigued.

From the perspective of an audiobook listener:
While I liked this storyline, I did not like the writing style in this book. I’m new to this author so I’m not sure if all her books are written the same and therefore I would be willing to try her again.
Let me explain. Duel POV narrated by 1 person can be a bit confusing. While Jonathan Waters has a great female voice, only the actual dialogue was easily distinguishable. The POV’s switch back and fourth within the chapter. This would be fine if the book was done in duet. I found it to be confusing and difficult to remember who’s POV it was.
I’m a huge fan of Jonathan Waters and he does a good job narrating but IMO this wasn’t my favorite performance.
If POV’s don’t bother you, or you choose to read the e-book, You may enjoy this book. It’s a good standalone story with an HEA.

WHAT a great read!

Craig and Lottie are not only adorable together, sexy as hell, but they are just HILARIOUS - this book had me cackling! A dash of romantic fluff, a healthy dollop of sexiness, and a pinch of intrigue with the horrid ex-boyfriend made for a VERY entertaining read - loved it!

Hilarious, Sexy

This author achieved the difficult feat of being funny, often hilarious, but not silly. So often authors just achieve silliness or juvenile levels of foolishness. But this author wrote a funny, adult book. I generally don't like stories about a woman liking a brother's best friend; it's been done and overdone. This author managed to give a bit of a fresh take. This was in part because the characters were older (guy is in early 30s) and the focus wasn't on the 2 male best friends but largely on the hero and heroine instead.
Sometimes the sex was somewhat explicit but not vulgar. Though pu**y is said once in relation to cunnilingus. So be aware if that's not your thing. Generally, adult language is used throughout the book and not in a gratuitous fashion. But some would object to it. So go in knowing that. The sex isn't constant throughout the book and sometimes just alluded to. But it's more than 1x, definitely.
The side characters added to the story. That included close friends, a mother, grandmother, and undesirable characters too. There's a bit of a mystery in the story that helps add some conflict in the love match. Thankfully there are no ongoing misunderstandings that are the basis of the story.
The only negative was that the narrator wasn't always able to clearly make distinctions between several characters, including the 2 main characters; so often it wasn't always clear, at the start, which character was speaking. Eventually it would become clear. Still, it didn't detract meaningfully from my immense enjoyment of this production.

Loved It!

Honestly, I’m not sure what attracted me so much to this story but I couldn’t walk away from it. After reading the synopsis I thought it sounded cute, but it ended up being so much more for me.

Lottie had a toxic relationship that ruined her self image, but along came her brothers best friend to put her back together again. Witty banter and a tight family rounded off a great story with some hot and heavy scenes.

Narrator wasn’t my favorite. I got a little lost in which point of view it was because the inflection of the voice didn’t change enough to be able to tell the difference. I feel like you have to pay extra close attention to figure out the changes, but still a great story over all.

Uproariously funny writing combined with magical narration, I loved it!

Throughly entertaining and laugh out loud funny, Screw It! is a truly original and completely delightful romantic comedy. There’s also some intrigue and a bit of angst to nicely balance the laughs, and give a realistic feel to the story. The writing is fantastic, the characters unique and varied! The good, the bad and the annoying (intentionally so, and very necessary to the plot) are brilliantly represented! The dialogue is beyond witty and the banter between the characters is fabulous, all making for such a fun listen! I would be remiss if I didn’t make mention of the astounding narration that brought every one of these wonderful characters to life. Only one word fits. Magical! I am still laughing and still smiling. Five fabulous stars! This one is a winner!

An Unexpected Love Story

Screw It is a very well written book that could be taken off the front page of a newspaper. The storyline while fun, exciting and raunchy has a very serious undertone. I enjoyed listening/reading the story as it kept me entertained yet on edge to find out what was going to happen next. I don't want to give away any spoilers but this story is hot as in steaming hot. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is 18 and over and loves steaming, funny love stories that have a serious plot twist. I received this book for free at my request and I am voluntarily leaving this honest unbiased review of my own volition.

Terrific Story & Narration🎧 Sweet & Spicy!

This is enjoyable romantic comedy, the story is fast moving and has plenty of drama, humor, witty dialogue, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The character are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they ere easy to like and care about too. Lottie Evans has a crush on her brother Nick’s best friend, Craig Barnes, realizes he has feelings for her but she is off limits. But a mishap with hotel reservations puts them in the same room and in the same bed and the chemistry between them could not longer be denied. But what happens when the weekend it over, what do they tell her brother? A lot goes on in this book and there is never a dull moment. The story is entertaining and enjoyable with plenty of laugh out loud moments and some heartfelt ones too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Jonathan Water is a talented narrator and a voice artist. He did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. He set the perfect tone for the story handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart he put into his work as he captured the character’s emotions and projected them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Great romcom!

A little taboo, a lot of humor and a heart full of love, Shauna Richmond gives us Screw It! Craig and Lottie are roommates, never to cross that line of romance, as Lottie is Nick, Craig's best friend's sister. That is until they do. But realizing love and acting on it are two different things. Will these two be able to go back to being just friends? Will Nick approve of this match? Will they have to change their living arrangements? Give this a listen. You will laugh out loud, become annoyed and frustrated and fall in love. And be prepared for Craig's grandmother! She is a trip!

Jonathan Waters brings this story to life with a great performance. I enjoyed his voices for the dialogue, though at times in the narrative it was hard to distinguish who's point of view is speaking. His voice for Lottie is spot on with a spunky and independent woman, and he easily transitions to Craig, the alpha feel evident. It is an enjoyable performance!
