Story
Miranda Lewis doesn't have time for cancer—not when she's filling out her Ivy League college application, competing with her boyfriend for the title of class valedictorian, and counseling emotionally unstable underclassmen at all hours of the night. But medical tests don't lie. A deadly tumor is taking over her brain, threatening to shatter her hard-earned dreams to dust. Homework competes with plans for treatment, and Miranda's stress only increases when her well-meaning parents schedule the local pastor's kid to come over and pray for her healing every morning before school.

I’m a big girl, “plus-sized”, whatever. I’m sick of hearing about it, especially since my doctor diagnosed me with PCOS. So when mean girl Merritt shot her mouth off about how fat people should just lose weight, I couldn’t take it anymore. And now I’ve got a huge problem. To prove curvy girls like me can get happily-ever-afters too, I have to get our school’s quarterback, Beckett Langley, to take me to homecoming. And he doesn’t know I even exist. But it’s not hopeless. Four other girls just like me are willing to help, because enough is enough.

Stick with it!!!
This was a great listen!! The narrator was perfect for it! Honestly, it was a bit of a slow start for me, too much Facebook and blog posting, however, that didn't stick and it was really really good! God is so good and can completely turn lives around!! Loved it and can't wait to listen to others in this series! I was provided a code, although my review is right on honest! I'm so glad that I did indeed finish this!!

Enjoyable
I believe the author did a lot of good things with this book. About how a lot of people try to put on a show to make themselves, their family and their things better than what they are. Lack of communication in marriage and between child and parent. Bullying amongst young people (and adults). enjoyed the story and the development of the characters and how lessons were learned. The one thing I did not like was the tone set for the relationship between Kate and her father. I understand there are cruel parents out there and that a lot of Kate's problems stem from the unacceptance she had from her own father. However, I didn't see the need for it to be portrayed quite so vividly... to me that part didn't really flow with the rest of the book.
The narrative was done very well on this.

Good Heartwarming Story
Her stories are of real characters, with real issues. In this story the seeking of her father’s approval, that she is worthy. With restriction, she has made a good life for herself. With love and forgiveness, there can be second chances.A good heartwarming story to enjoy.
