Missy and Marcus

This book was so good I am sorry it was not longer. There was plenty of suspense and romance. The book had a great ending. I am looking forward to Julian's story. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did a great job with the narration.

Thrilling and Wonderful

What a thrilling and beautiful story! Second in Command was as captivating, steamy, and entertaining as the first book in the series. Marcus and Missy were perfect for each other. Marcus was over protective, possessive and sexy. He took care of Missy and made sure she felt safe around him. He was so swoon worthy. Missy was incredible; she was strong, brave but with a vulnerability only Marcus saw. She went through something traumatic and horrific but still wanted to help bring down the ring leader of the sex trafficking ring. The narration was spot on. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did a wonderful job bringing Marcus and Missy to life. They have become a favorite duo to listen to. I’m excited to find out what happens next with Julian. If you like romantic suspense with a hot possessive OTT protective alpha, then this is the book for you!

Great second in series!

Marcus and Missy's story was just as good as the first book in the series! When we left book 1 and Marcus was put in charge, I knew I couldn't wait to see what girl would bring him to his knees. There were a lot of similarities between the two stories, as these alpha men find women in trouble and make them theirs. This is an action packed story that I couldn't wait to get through. I can't wait for book 3!

The narrators did a great job bringing this one to life.

Having picked this story up when it first released i couldn't wait to get into it again! As soon as this audiobook was announced i was so excited to listen to it! I was pulled right back into the Men of Hidden Justice world right away. I so enjoyed this audiobook!

Dark Romance

Second In Command is the 2nd book in the Men of Hidden Justice. Melanie Moreland has a gift with words. I absolutely love Marcus & Missy! Once I started this book, I finished it in one day. I could not put it down. I love this darker side of her. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster. All the twists and turns. I really liked listening to it as well.

This audiobook is totally EAR-GASMIC! You can't help but fall in love with Marcus. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane are the perfect narrating duo. John Lane's delivery for Marcus was so freaking good! I'm loving the Men of Hidden Justice series. Second-In-Command by Melanie Moreland is an EPIC listen that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

Absolutely phenomenal

Melanie has done it again . This is another masterpiece and epic story . I had loved the story when I had initially read it but loved it way more while listening to the audio version. Marcus and Missy were just phenomenal. John and Maxine have done phenomenal job narrating and bring Marcus and Missy characters to life . Definitely a must read and listen .

A captivating & heart pounding romantic suspense!

After finishing the Boss I thought to myself there is no way this author could top Matteo and Evie’s story but oh was I proven wrong! She absolutely did. I have read many contemporary romances by Melanie Moreland and loved them all. Even though this series is a touch darker than her usual style it still has the same qualities in her characters that I have come to love and I fell so hard for Marcus and Missy. After Matteo finding love he naturally asks his Second in Command, Marcus to step in as leader of the Men of Hidden Justice Team. The book begins with Marcus recovering Missy from a horrific state. She was badly beaten and left for dead after working under cover to take down the man in charge of global sex trafficking ring. You would think after being left in the state she is in Missy would be fragile and docile but not at all. She is one heck of a fighter who will not let the circumstances she found herself in get her down or stop her from her original plan to take him down. The problem is Marcus. He just wants to keep her safe and shielded from enduring anymore pain of reliving all she went through. However, Missy is having none of it. I just loved how she and Marcus go toe for toe on everything. Their chemistry and banter was fantastic and many times lead to some pretty steamy scenes between them. The audiobook is narrated by two of my favourites, Maxine Mitchell and John Lane. They are incredible story-tellers. John Lane has a deep and sexy voice that is just perfect for a character like Marcus, and Maxine Mitchell’s emotional performance of all that her character Missy endured was just incredible.

Holy WOW!!

Holy. Wow. This book sucked me in and didn't let go. Missy & Marcus stole my heart so easily and had me invested and obsessed with them. They bicker, argue, and respect one another. This book takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, switching from the soft tone of a love story to the adrenaline rush of a thriller. Highly recommend this series. Maxine Mitchell & John Lane do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

5 He’s Her Savior Stars!!!

As much as I loved this story when I read it, listening to the audiobook expertly narrated by Maxine Mitchell and John Lane brought this story to an entirely new level for me. The elements of suspense were that much greater listening to Ms. Moreland's words come to life. I felt every fear of Missy and the power of Marcus and what he would do to protect this woman that he's fallen in love with. I have a new appreciation for Missy and her determination to heal and have a life she never thought possible. Ms. Mitchell and Mr. Lane have done exactly what I love with an audiobook that I've had the pleasure of reading the printed book prior to listening... they made me fall in love with all the idiosyncrasises I missed while reading giving me an entirely new experience with a book I already loved!!

I already loved Marcus when I met him in The Boss, but this book has made me love him even more!!

He’s a man that knows bringing this fragile and shattered girl to his home is exactly what he shouldn’t do, but there’s something about Missy that makes him go against all the rules!!

Marcus is truly tested when Missy enters his life and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her. But Missy is so broken and while she comes to trust him, she also has feelings for him that Marcus is reticent to explore… but he only has so much willpower and when he finally decides to be the man that heals Missy in every way possible.

Along the way, there are some revelations that were shocking and just made me that much more invested in this series. I cannot wait for Julian’s book because I think there are things that we don’t know yet and his book may answer some of my questions!
