Amazing Read

I always heard wonderful reviews about this book. My Pastor also did a Bible Study teaching on the book. I did not order the book because we received worksheets and I just followed along. When I finally decided to order the book to read as well as listen on Audible I was blown away. Kept my attention from start to finish. I will probably listen to this over and over. I loved it.

I learned something

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5
the book brings more clarity.

Masterfully rendered story w/ an incredible moral

A masterfully delivered reminder, I was cut by the punchline: Abide in the Vine! The narrative was very easy to appreciate from a storytelling viewpoint, and the narration is also well done.

I was broken at the end of chapter 7 as Holy Spirit used this story to remind me of what I had attained and walked away from. Yet I felt the sweet graceful embrace and the affirming presence of a loving gracious God driving home His important point: He wanted me back, completely, not in part. Abide in Me: only then can you bear much fruit.

I find the idea put forth in chapter 3 that God is orchestrating all discipline for our behavior. Instead it is more accurate that sin in our life sets into motion a set of consequences or disciplines that accompany sins as it is preordained. Therefor this particular chapter was unpalatable to me.
