Matthew "Wolf" Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn't have to do it very often. He'd been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.

Publisher's Summary
Caite McCallan is a Department of Defense admin working in Bahrain when a glitchy elevator, of all things, leads to an unexpected invitation to dinner by a gorgeous Navy SEAL. When he later stands her up, Caite’s understandably upset…until she overhears a plot that confirms Rocco didn’t blow her off. Instead, he and two fellow SEALs are in danger - and Caite is forced to put her career and her life on the line to save them.
Blake “Rocco” Wise never expected his routine mission to go sideways, but he was even more surprised to find himself and his teammates rescued by the adorably shy woman he met in a stalled elevator. Caite’s selfless act saved his life, but when attempts on her own make it clear someone wants her gone, it’s Rocco’s turn to protect the brave, sweet, sexy woman. The longer he knows her, the more he wants her…but keeping Caite close could bring her nearer to the enemy than ever before.
Securing Caite is the first book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

☆☆☆☆☆ Seal of Approval ☆☆☆☆☆
As the proud owner of all 42 Susan Stoker books currently available on Audible; I was wondering how Susan was going to weave another series of Strong, Sexy Seals and their sven Stronger, Smarter & Sexier woman. Then I began to listen and could not stop. I really should know better than to start one of her books after 8pm. i have already started my 2nd listen and love it even more.
Savannah Peachwood was the perfect Caite. And she did a bang up job as Rocco & the others as well. i would actually love one of Susan's Seal series to be done with individual narrators for the male & female leads. Although it is not a must for me, just a personal preference.
This book had adventure, danger, international intrigue, hot seals, bravery, hope, intimacy & tons of sweet kisses. It did not have a ton of sex which added to the strength of the book & relationships. I like the sex as much as the next person in my romantic reads but the amount in the book was perfect.
What else can I say? Besides how soon before the next one is available on Audible? If your new to Susan Stoker I think this would be a great first listen even though it is technically the "legacy" series for a reason. That reason is there was a whole bunch of others Seals that came before them.
I purchase ALL of Susan's books as soon as pre-order is available. With over 900 Erotic romances in my Audible library it is definitely worth a credit in my humble opinion. Enjoy!!!

*MA PETITE FÉE* LET ME COUNT THE TIMES IT IS SAID
I liked the series preceding this one, however, the SEALs on this book are portrayed as extremely incompetent. Also, there are things that take place in the Middle East that involve a woman by herself in the middle of the night that are just not possible for a woman to do there. And I know it is fantasy, but... It just doesn't happen.
I did like seeing all the characters from the previous series, and I did like some of this story, but just the hero calling the heroine *ma petite fée* every other line annoyed the heck out of me. Also, how many bad things need to happen for the heroine to figure out they are not coincidental.
Savannah Peachwood's narration was great as usual, but I just couldn't get past the way the SEAL team in this book was portrayed. They simply looked inept.
By the way, don't let my negative review influence you, I think I might be the only one with a less than stellar feedback. This book was just not for me.

Don’t Waste Your Money...Seriously
I have never badly reviewed a book in my life...but I got tricked into buying this book based on stellar reviews and I didn’t want the same for others. The main hero Rocco is supposed to be this swoon worthy alpha SEAL, but he’s just a slightly stalker-y, insecure d-bag who thinks he’s an alpha. The heroine is so damsel in distress, can’t possibly live without her savior pathetic that she comes off as dumb. Rocco uses his connections to locate Caite, without her consent and he bullies her into letting him into her apartment...and she just thinks it’s cute. There’s so many things wrong with that I don’t even know where to start. Also, the plot is really difficult to focus on because the dialogue is so deplorable. I literally gagged a few times while listening to this on Audible. To be fair, I think it would be less awful if the narrator weren’t so horrible...the breathy way she portrays Caite’s voice just makes the heroine sound like a bimbo. I have read others by Susan Stoker and liked her writing just fine...but this was next level awful.

A little disappointing
First, when you mention how bad-ass and well prepared Navy Seals are, don’t have 3 of them being taken by surprise when searching a building that is supposed to be empty and the bad guys are supposed to be at a conference. No seal would have just taken for granted they could search without being interrupted. Why wasn’t one of the guys keeping watch? Then you have the main bad guy, who is smart enough to set up an international smuggling ring and get away with his crimes with on one suspecting him hiring a trio of idiots to take out the Heroine and then was surprised and not able to figure out what to do when the attempts failed. Really? You can’t find a disillusioned, bad guy sniper with all those superior connections you claim to have? And then the ending completely fell apart with the above mentioned bad guy threatening to shoot the heroine and innocent civilians if she didn’t co-operate with him despite being on a beach full of seals and a Rear Admiral. And he thought he’d get away with that how?
I don’t want to discourage anyone from the book – it’s good as long as you can focus on the story and not think about the parts that make no sense.

Aspects dont make sense
Narrator was ok. To whinny and breathy and made the lead female seem annoying. There were parts of the story that did not make sense when it comes to how military officers would act in certain parts of the story. Made it unbelievable even as a fiction story. Im hoping the next book will be better but please bring back stella bloom for narration!

Absolutely Awful
Plot was ridiculous: the author did no research. Writing was sophomoric: unrealistic conversation, full of overused cliches. Narrator sounded like a freshman in high school. I finished it just to find out if there were any redeeming qualities: there were none.

Boring and pathetic
Unfortunately, Caite is a pathetic character. I think we were supposed to feel sympathetic towards her, but there wasn't much I liked about her. Self-deprecating is one thing, but she was just downright pathetic. And, the nickname Rocco had for Caite was cumbersome and ridiculous. She is 30 and Rocco is 35, but they both acted like high schoolers. The narrator didn't make either her or Rocco sound good. No, I am not even going to finish it, because I really don't care what happens to them. Try Protecting Fiona by Susan Stoker - that one is much better.

The first time Caite and Rocco meet in a lift, the attraction between them was strong. They are both in the Middle East working and in between trying to meet up, Caite ends up saving Rocco and 2 of his team mates. This makes her target.... It all happens once back State side.

Another winner and a new series to be addicted to
I love Securing Caite. It has a strong smart heroine, a supportive alpha Hero, an interesting storyline and wonderful narration on the audiobook. Another winner and a new series to get hooked on.
“I’m a SEAL. We’re all SEALs,” Rocco said matter-of-factly. “We don’t need weapons because we are weapons, Caite.”
She rolled her eyes... “Save me from macho navy heroes.”
I have to admit that these stories are a bit of an addiction for me. Whenever I feel I’m in a reading funk and nothing interests me, I just need to grab a Susan Stoker book and I’m cured. They perfectly combine swoony romance with just enough action and suspense to keep me glued to the pages.
“... holding Caite as if she were made of glass, even though he knew from experience she had a core of steel,”
Securing Caite is the firsts book and a standalone in the new SEAL of Protection: Legacy series. It stars a whole new group of SEALs to follow and swoon for as they meet both danger and love.

Started well but lost its way
After a great start, the story meandered around in a dull, long-drawn-out way before fizzling out into a decidedly underwhelming finale. Rocco's constantly calling Caite 'ma petite fae' quickly became irritating. As an occasional endearment, it would have been sweet, but the constant use was absurd. SS has a tendency to overdo nicknames anyway - to the point where I've sometimes wondered if the men have forgotten the real names of the women they love! However, it's particularly absurd when Rocco always used a phrase instead of a single-syllable name!
The narration is also quite disappointing. SP isn't terrible, but she's not nearly as good as the other narrators for SS's books.

Interesting first chapter!
Not sure about this story. Ms Stoker has done better heroines but I still had to know what happened next!!!
Starts with an innocent meeting, moves to a letdown, and then into danger and then...meanders around to a slightly disappointed end

Alpha males aplenty
I really enjoy the fact that many of the characters in Susan Stokers series cross over so it's like meeting up with family members each time. I love the characters, men who are tough and women who find out just how tough they are when things get rough. A good read

another not enough mission
I wish I could tell the difference between Susan's mission based stories or her frothy ones! this one was frothy. Rocco needed a belt on the head every now and then. only good thing was meeting wolfe and team again.
was hoping to miss the next one but a story with dogs....hard to resist, although I'm betting it's another frothy one
savannah is great....she a Stella bloom are similar in narration.
