all but ego

this book started pretty promising sounding like it would be a great book, but realistically it's almost like listening to the spark notes of any self disipline book. even then I thought "hey, it might be a good book for some people that don't have a lot of time on their hands to read full length self-discipline book", but as it went on it appear to be more of a long college essay written by a college student. the part that probably upset me the most was his own self plug for people to coment and leave a review to "help out other people". I can't blame a men for trying to promote his book, but if you are gonna do that make sure you give people good things to leave a review about.

Short and Sweet

If you understand something well, you can say it in less words. This author has obviously got the art of self-discipline down to a fine science, and I appreciate them sharing their knowledge.

Fast but impactful read!

This book kinda reminds me of John Maxwell's books; fast but full. It's definitely a short but meaty book about self-discipline and how you can improve yourself; I love every part of it! No-fluff and direct to the ideas. I also love the tone of the content, very conversational that I was even shocked when the book ended and that one hour or so has passed that I haven't taken a break listening to it.

Narrator has a friendly voice too, just like how I love my audiobooks about these topics. 😍

Very simple and straightforward, worth listening!!

A good short audiobook to quickly learn about the approach and aspects of self-discipline. It is very simple and straightforward and worth listening to get multi-angled focused snippets on self-discipline.

One example:
The most basic definition of self-discipline is the ability to cis the ability to give our self a command and then follow it. The key word here is your long-term goals – your reason why you say no to instant gratification. The second best thing to stick to the promises you made to yourself is to have a strong “why” and remind yourself of it when faced with a temptation.

I would definitely recommended it if you're interested in quick self-discipline advice. I would prefer a bit more details and better transitions between ideas, but it’s just my personal taste.

Short audiobook filled with good tips & anecdotes

Short audiobook that can be finished in an hour. Enthusiastic speaker. Self-discipline seems to be a multi-part plan -- a mind and body balancing act. But most important idea is -- APPLY WHAT YOU JUST LEARNED. There are some good tips and anecdotes when appropriate.

What I loved most about this audiobook is that it really makes you take a step back and look at how you have been living and how you can now start living better. The exercises suggested on each chapter requires deep, honest “soul-searching” look at every area of your life. These exercises really go to the core of your problems and make you think on how you can solve them yourself.

Steve Martin did an amazing job with this audiobook, I found myself highlight almost every sentence in this book. I definitely recommend that everyone not only listen this audiobook but get it in print copy and re-read it at the start of every month.

Everyone should listen this. Amazing life-guide!

Love how the Author keeps your attention by keeping chapters short and to the point! Very easy on the mind... best audiobook I've listened since long time. This is a life changer! An absolute must-listen!
I let my 10 & 12 year old know... I'm putting this on their audible list! Never too young to learn a life skill! Also, it is really simple and to the point. The way it is written and narrated was easy to understand and simple to follow along with. Good action steps and guidance throughout, as well a helpful audiobook to keep track and practice suggested action steps.

Practical Advice to Develop Self-Discipline

Most straightforward, and practical self-improvement book I have read. One that actually has readily implementable, scientifically-based advice, not just motivational-mumbo-jumbo. Very grateful to the writer for synthesizing so much good material into one short audiobook.
Quite unlike many other audiobooks on Self-Discipline, this one focuses on the key points. Short and to the point with lots of practical techniques to form good habits while maintaining discipline and saving willpower...
