Great advice, great listen
This series of teen workbooks is one of the most valuable resources I have found for counseling my at risk teenage students! I purchased the anxiety, anger, self esteem and overcoming negative feelings handbooks and I was honestly nervous. So many of the tools avaliable to address teen needs are dated and are taken as nothing but a joke by those they are designed to help.

Another excellent Brandon book
I think at this point I have read all of them (some twice). This one is a bit more philosophical than some of the later ones. It was his first book and sets the foundation for his life's work. Very important for those who want to better understand human psychology.

This book discusses crucial current issue mainly people specifically newer generations suffer, which is low self-esteem. The author did a great job explaining what actually self-esteem entails and that it is not in isolation from other important personal traits as self-assertiveness and responsibility for example. additionally, it contains plenty of exercises to do in order to enhance each of the mentioned six pillars.

Learned some very important thoughts
Not going to lie. I was going to skip the first part where it has you do nutrition. It helps you with guidelines but it really makes you sit and think about how you can change your diet and believe me I had some wrong ideas in my head. This book has enormously helped me in gaining an accurate understanding self worth. At first it felt counter intuitive, but when I applied those ideas in my life, I understood it's the right thing.

Nothing in this book that isn't already common sense. Take care of yourself. Get some sleep. Get some exercise. Eat better. Well, no kidding, really? Right away it has you read all kinds dietary info that seems Greek to me. With this info it wants you to draw up your own diet. The whole thing just seems so out of touch with the realities of true low esteem

Lovely book to keep you on the positive path !!!!!
This book can be very therapeutic but has also been known to set me off into a bad emotional episode. It asks hard questions and forces you to face the truth about yourself. Sometimes that truth can be very painful (realizing who we really are), so just be warned. I do think completing the book can be very therapeutic if you can get past the parts that are upsetting (if you're anything like me...a classic BPD patient).

Book is great and a must listen for young women everywhere. Positive self esteem is hard to come by and this book will help you find your way to a better life. Every girl can relate to one or more of the things the author has written about in this book. Even as a mature woman, I can relate to having some of the same damaging self-talk she describes. This is a good conversation starter with your own daughters and would be a great bible study with women of any age.
