A study was done by physiotherapist Nishad Abdul Latheef Majida on a group of seniors over the age of 65. The seniors were given a core-strengthening exercise program for six weeks, and the overall results demonstrated that the core-strengthening program improved functional mobility, improved balance, and decreased the risk for falls.

Very helpful for senior!
I got this book for my mom. I think this really suitable exercise for her that she can do at home and don’t have to use any special equipment much like gyms. I like the accompanied PDF with this audio book which is really helpful. Especially with all the pictures of exercises for her which is easy to follow. I’d recommend for senior.

Excellent for the basics
I'm researching good resources to try and get my folks active again. I believe this book can absolutely help them. They are 70 years old and really can't move their bodies very well currently. This book addresses how they can take small steps and slowly build a new habit in order to take healthy steps again. The attached PDF with illustrations for the various exercises is very helpful, and it will help me encourage them.

I listened to this book with my nan, and I am in love with it! There is so much content in here for seniors. I love the chapter on the 7-day exercise routine. It was super easy to follow and something me and my nan did together. The descriptions are very detailed to help guide all ages but I did quite like the chair exercises which my nan has committed to doing every day! A great listen!

Explore your core with these exercises
If you want to understand your feelings and desires then keep up exercising. That, bodily movements, is your life source when you think about it.
I learned that you don’t need to work out till you’re soaked in sweat. Keep yourself healthy with an adequate amount of bodily movements.
When you do core exercises, your Immune system is supposed to get better and the body is able to ward off diseases. Those are among the many things that I learned listening to this audiobook. This book is not just for elders but can work for people who’ve been sedentary for a long while. This is a good way to get started. Because If you have been sedentary for a long time and you suddenly throw yourself in strenuous exercise you can get injured.
I really liked the accompanying pdf. It’s indispensable and every move was explained in the audiobook in an easy to follow manner. There are so many insights for exercise in this book, that is in and of itself motivating to become a more active you. Highly recommended!

This book contains good news for seniors! It's great to know that even if the person did not exercise prior to senior age, it's not too late to begin an exercise program to ensure strength and stability. Got this for my dad!
My dad is elderly, although active, limited on what exercises he can perform due to his age. I am his main carer, so I was glad to come across this book. Just what I needed and more!
You will be shocked with how important core strength is. I am very thankful that my friend gave me this book so that I can reduce my risk of falling and other injuries. The author does a great job showing you how to do the exercises safely and gives you tricks to make it part of your daily routine. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't do a lot of exercise and might be scared to start now. This book will give you the confidence to start improving your energy level and balance today with small, easy exercises.

A caring book!
Seniors will enjoy reading this book! While a person who has never exercised before senior age can begin an exercise program to maintain strength and stability at any age, it's great to know that it's never too late. Further, this book teaches us how to exercise regardless of our age; we are all capable of living a healthier life and we need to take care of our bodies through diet and exercise. I highly recommend this audiobook. It is super-helpful. Definitely worth the listen.

The best resource for anyone who isn’t as young as they used to be! If you’re looking to get active and strengthen your core! Step-by-step instructions on how to get started. Training, and keeping mobile as we age is essential. Works really well as an audiobook. Nice work, Ruth!

Very Informative!
I let my dad listen to this and this gave him idea on his next exercise routine. He said that this was really helpful especially he started gardening. It would really help him strengthen his core. Great guide for senior who needed some clear step-by-step exercise routine. Everything is written well and good content overall.

Great book!
I was looking for something for my mum for her to follow as she is not as active as she used to be.
This book has lots of advice and tips for seniors to be as active as they feel comfortable to build muscle strength. My mum's personal favourite is the chair exercises chapter.
She likes this book as she can listen and follow the directions easily.
A great resource to have for all seniors.
