Publisher's Summary

Are you suffering from disabilities that make performing daily tasks a struggle?

Do you wish you felt more freedom and empowerment to do the things you love?

I know I was. Hi, my name’s Jenna. And for years, I let my disability stop me from living a life I really loved and that I knew I was capable of living. My disability left me in a state of feeling powerless, alone, and afraid. I knew there had to be a way to improve my life experience in a myriad of ways, and among other methods, getting and training a service dog has been one of the most significant sources of help upon my life in more ways than I can count. Ever since then, I’ve been passionate about sharing this knowledge with others so that they can be empowered in a similar way that I was.

Many people with disabilities can benefit from service dogs and not just those in wheelchairs. If you have diabetes, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, self-harm tendencies, or any number of other disabilities, a service dog may help you. However, in America, the standard cost of a fully trained service dog is 25 grand. This is more than many people can afford, especially when a large portion of their income is already going to paying medical bills. But, the good news is that you can fully train your own service dog. You might even find that, by training your own puppy, rather than having a stranger board and train it until it's an adult, you, and your puppy develop a closer bond that enables him to assist you better.

There is a lot of confusion on how to train service dogs, the legalities, which breeds are best, and more. In this audiobook, you will find answers to all of these questions and more. Not only are the United States of America’s laws regarding service dogs explained, but also the United Kingdom’s laws are explained as well, among many other useful things.

In this audiobook, you will find:

  • A detailed look at America’s and the UK’s service dog laws
  • The most common and best service dog breeds of all sizes
  • Helpful tasks and commands service dogs can learn
  • Frequently asked questions and their answers
  • The difference of service dogs, emotional support dogs, and therapy dogs
  • How to choose the right potential service puppy

The basics all service dogs need to know

A four-week training course including a multitude of commands and how to walk your puppy through the training process continuing training down the road and more!

So if you are ready to begin training your very own service dog and improve your own life, scroll up and click the “Buy Now” button and transform your life today!

It really works!!!!

I had a dog that I had adopted and I wondered if she might work out well as a service dog. I found the book very easy to read, and the instructions quite easy to follow. The author was absolutely correct about service dogs needing to be trained By Using praise and rewards. I have been working with my canine partner since January of this year. Three times now she has alerted me to blood sugars that were too high or too low. Thank you so much for this amazing book.

I like that it is more instruction oriented

I have several dog training books acquired over many years. I use this one now for my new Dog and I find it more helpful than others and the author's methods are very effective.
Most training books are filled with stories that make it hard to find the instruction, and while this book does include its share of stories, it is more clear than most. I appreciate that.

Good information about Service Dog

Good information. I just need to follow it consistently. The book is easy to read and understand. The author seems knowledgeable about dog behaviors and training methods.
I got a dog, and she was my first rescue, so a brush up on do's and don't's were a must. I was recommended this by a vet and thought it was GREAT - especially since my husband never had a dog. Great handbook

Good Overview & Outline

I really liked that the author had a weekly training plan. She gave great guidance on the process to teach different services I’d be needing to train my puppy & hopefully future service animal.
If possible, I’ll come back after some weeks of training & give more feedback. I’ve studied lots to prepare for my future best friend. I live on wheels and have been for 10 years now so I’d love some extra help as my body is beginning to feel the wear of pushing my chair & the extra work my arms & shoulders do to get me through the day. Can’t wait to start!

A waste of my time.

This is full of outdated, strange information. it refers to dogs that "don't obey" as stubborn... it's 2022, we know better.

It was ok

Thought the other book by Max Matthew's was better. I'd recommend reading, listening to, his book.

I was looking for more...

I was let down a bit by this book but maybe my expectations were too high. I assumed that this book would get to the point and help you start training. Honestly, if someone doesn't already know how to train the basic obedience commands, then you probably shouldn't attempt to train your own service dog. Sit, down, stay, leave it - are all basic obedience commands that you should already know how to train.

The information regarding the laws and where your dog can and cannot go are helpful. I don't know that the part of the book about what dog to pick and how to pick it are so good.

The book could be a good start for someone considering training their own service dog. There must be something more comprehensive available.

The narrator spoke like a grade school kid - over pronouncing words like important and button and turning "a" into "AY". I found it very frustrating to listen to. Nobody talks like that.
