Publisher's Summary

In this essential Star Wars Legends novel, Mace Windu must journey to his long-forgotten homeworld to confront a terrifying mystery with dire personal consequences.

The jungle planet of Haruun Kal, homeworld of the legendary Jedi Master Mace Windu, has become a battleground in the increasing hostilities between the Republic and the renegade Separatist movement. The Jedi Council has sent Depa Billaba - Mace’s former Padawan and fellow Council member - to Haruun Kal to train the local tribesmen as a guerrilla resistance force. But now the Separatists have pulled back, and Depa has not returned. The only clue to her disappearance is a cryptic recording left at the scene of a brutal massacre: a recording that hints of madness and murder and the darkness in the jungle...a recording in Depa’s own voice.

Mace Windu trained Depa. Only he can find her. Only he can learn what has changed her. Only he can stop her. He will leave behind the Republic he serves, the civilization he believes in, everything but his passion for peace and his devotion to his former Padawan. And he will learn the terrible price that must be paid when keepers of the peace are forced to make war....

In the 45 years since George Lucas's interstellar fantasy epic Star Wars first hit theaters, the saga has grown to include 12 canonical feature-length films (and counting), a growing number of shows (both animated and live-action), and hundreds of novels and comics inspired by that galaxy far, far away. But there's nothing quite like the magic of a Star Wars audiobook. The stories featured in this collection are as vast and varied as the universe in which they're set.

Buy this audiobook!!!!

We all need to show Disney that this is what the real fans want! Re-record all abridged Star Wars “Legends” audiobooks to unabridged. If you’re tired of woke, sjw Star Wars, and miss the EU then vote with your wallet!

Shatterpoint.

First. THANK YOU!!! “New” Unabridged Legends! So. Shatterpoint is very much like Star Wars Mace Windu : Heart of Darkness. It’s a tale of unweaving sanity in the deep jungle of Mace’s homeworld. Such a fascinating look into Mace Windu and Depa.
The narration is fantastic.
Again. Thank you! Please let this continue. I’d buy any “new” unabridged Legends. (And I mean ANY). I’d prefer to get Splinter of the Mind’s Eye, Vector Prime, Survivors Quest, and The Tales. THANK YOU!

Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!!

So glad this title has been released in an unabridged version. Cant believe the abridged version is about 6 hours in length, and this, the unabridged version, is about 14 hours! That's eight hours of discarded content in the abridged version!! I realize that back in the day the media of the time (cassettes and CD's) couldn't hold the entire book without the need for multiple tapes/discs. Thankfully this is no longer the case. Will happily purchase any of these older titles that are re-released as unabridged.

Hopefully the first of many Unabridged EU Books!

My god it feels so wonderful to have real Star Wars again, the difference between the great content of the past and the present lot could not be more stark!

The old authors understood what Star Wars was about and it showed in their writing. Shatterpoint is well laid out, it has a clear and logical progression to the story-line and portrays the Jedi as human with all the faults included rather than what Disney has tried doing, turning the Jedi into MCU like super-humans who are infallible.

I truly hope this is the first of ALL the Old EU books to be made into an Unabridged Recording!

Yes! Yes! Yes!

The review about no woke, sjw influence is 100% correct. I listened to the old, abridged version and this is WORTH YOUR TIME! The narrator is great, the music and SFX are great as always, and this is the direction Star Wars should return to. Fun book. Not a carbon copy of the old version. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. Especially if you aren't familiar with the EU. You'll have a great time.

THANK YOU! KEEP RE- RELEASING UNABRIDGED

Love the story & characters! It added so many layers to the Star Wars universe for me with Mace & Depa! The narrator’s performance was top notch, he really embodies the characters! I will go and rewatch the movies and Clone Wars animated series with new enthusiasm.
I hope they go back and record unabridged versions of all the abridged Star Wars novels…I will buy them ALL!

Awesome rendition of a chilling book

This book is awesome. Its really dark, and probably not for children, but it's awesome to see Windu get some time in the spotlight. he really goes through some stuff here.

The book is a great performance. Sullivan Jones was the perfect choice for a narrator, and did a great job throughout. The music and sound effects were great as always.

I'm so glad this book was brought back unabridged. I'm looking forward to the future unabridged Legends collection. I can't wait for September's unabridged Rogue Squadron production, and I'm hoping for more of the older Zahn books to get unabridged versions too. Huge thanks to the team at Del Rey for giving Legends some love.

Finally....

I'm so glad LFL decided to release a full audiobook for Shatterpoint. Great narration by Sullivan Jones to a story that's been great since it came out in 2003. Hopefully, more people will pick this book up.

I Expected More, But it's Still Good

Storyline is okay. I didn't enjoy the voice narration thatuch, although after a while it did grow on me. Perhaps, my expectations where shattered because I expected a deeper narrative of Windy's life and not the mission/operation on his home planet outlined in the book.

I still recommend it as it adds more to ones understanding of the Star Wars lore.

very good listen

You definitely see Mace in a different light listening to Shatterpoint with a good background into his roots before becoming a Jedi. The voice acting was good for the most part the only one that spoilt it was the English butler sounding clones other than that definitely recommend

Very good Unabridged audiobook.

I got no real complaints, I thought his impressions of some characters were meh, not great, not awful; but that’s it. It might take a bit to get used to his narration style but once you get a feel for it you’ll love it. His Mace Windu impression was pretty damn good. Definitely recommend.

A little boring, It ain't mace windu either

I found this to get off to a very slow start, but during the recorded messages of mace windu i was getting annoyed and distracted by the humph and hmmm that the narrator makes in the first 2 parts of the book, i don't know if that is in the original novel but by god it was annoying!!

Also as the story went on, i found Mace windu starting to seem like a dark lord of the sith, seeming to constantly get mad and angry and becoming a bit of a bully, not very jedi like at all!
I don't think the author has understood mace windu very well at all to be writing about him.
One or two of the side characters i found rather annoying too, acting and talking like children,

I found the audiobook a bit of a chore to get through to be honest, but i finished it never the less, for me personally it is one of the more forgettable legends stories and not one i will be going back to, only listen if you are a die hard star wars fan.

Epic, Sumptuous Unabridged Mace Windu Adventure!!!

This audiobook was magnificent and enthralling. The duration length justified the wonderful complete telling of this unabridged marvel. Listeners have to prepare themselves and have the stamina to hear this story right to the end. Sullivan Jones was brilliant and spectacular as the interested and enthusiastic narrator. He gave the characters life with his excellent voices. Matthew Stover must be commended for writing a superb story. Lando Calrissian has featured in a number of Star Wars audiobooks and and so should Mace Windu. He is a fascinating character and a beacon for the Jedi.

Like Heart of Darkness with a rogue Jedi

Loved this story, Mace Windu is such a great character so it was cool to experience one of his solo adventures. Narration was one of the best I've heard too.

A good insight into Mace Windu

I listened to this audiobook twice before rating it. It is strongest at the beginning and the twist near the end. The characters are good. For those who love action and are closet jar-heads; this is definitely for you.
