Another excellent Sherlock Holmes pastiche!

Johanna Rieke has once again proven that she is more than capable to write Arthur Conan Doyle-like Sherlock Holmes pastiches. She captures the atmosphere, the language and the culture of the times. The story has the classic elements of a good Holmes story: a mansion house, crashing waves along a rugged coastline, a small village and a resident Lord of the Manor. Oh, and a series of murders to boot! Read by the great David Bufton, this book will just fly by.

Not the worst narrator, but...

I have no idea how the story goes - it is impossible to listen to this ever so boring narrator. No acting out the characters, just reading aloud in a steady, monotonous manner. Only good if you have trouble sleeping.

A good sleeping pills!

Love Holmes stories, always have, but the narration of this one boring. in fact, if I had trouble sleeping all I had to do was set timer for 30 minutes and was guaranteed to be fast asleep in five.
