I knew it was a bad idea to get on the elevator. Because now, I have three problems. Number one, I’m stuck in the elevator. Number two, I’m soaking wet from the rain. Number three, he got in before the doors closed. Miles Humphries. My neighbor. The one I hate. The biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Mr. Bachelor-for-Life and I, Rose Taylor, are like night and day. Imagine my jaw dropping when he asks me to be his fake fiancée. And move in with him. Together with my cat. Hello? That’s disaster waiting to happen. But then he makes me an offer I can’t refuse.

He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

What I meant to do in Vegas: Let my hair down for once and celebrate winning a medal at my first women’s hockey all-stars competition. What I actually did: Got senior prom drunk and woke up married to Brooklyn’s star winger, the great Neil Drake. He’s the heir to a billion dollars, and I barely survived my childhood. Our friendship is based strictly on hockey, takeout food, and smack talk. And now holy matrimony. We both know it can’t last - especially once his evil family gets wind of our Vegas shenanigans.

I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

He's cold, hard, and undeniably arrogant. That's how Andrew Blake's best friends describe him. Bad luck for me that I'm his new assistant. Nothing I do is good enough. I'm beginning to wonder if there's a heart in that tall, hard, gorgeous body of his. After work, I'm complaining about him to my new best friend - the bartender at the pub, near the office. Guess who's seated behind me, and has heard every gripe, grumble and grievance? By the look in Andrew's eye, I can't tell if I'm going to get fired or kissed.

Reasons why I should not be drawn to Troy Serrano. Number one: He’s obnoxious. Number two: We were enemies more than a decade ago. Number three: He’s my friend’s ex-boyfriend. I could go on and on, really. When my boss gives me an unwanted assignment, and tells me it involves spending time with the grandson of one of our residents, the grandson turns out to be Troy. Lucky me. Four hours a week of having to deal with his insufferable personality and unsolicited advice - the only consolation is getting to stare at his annoyingly gorgeous face, in between our many arguments.

I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce, when I saw him - my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar, all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes. On paper, it seemed like I had hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him. But, I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in.

Rex “TW” McMurtry’s perpetual singlehood wouldn’t bother him so much if all his ex-girlfriends didn’t keep marrying the very next person they dated, especially when so many of those grooms are his closest friends. He may be a pro-football defensive end for the Chicago Squalls, but the press only wants to talk about how he’s always a groomsman and never a groom. Bartender Abigail McNerny is the gal-pal, the wing-woman, the she-BFF. Publisher's Summary
I’m a professional chickenblocker.
Except “chicken” is a euphemism.
I get paid to follow a womanizing troglodyte who thinks rules are for other people and that my pants are the next pair he’s getting into.
Dream on.
Bet your first professional job didn’t involve babysitting an extremely hot, muscle-bound Scottish highlander with an ego the size of a kilt and a libido bigger than his…well…
Chicken.
Keeping Scottish football (that’s "soccer" to us Americans) player Hamish McCormick away from inappropriate scandals while he does product endorsement campaigns is my mission.
No problem.
Until Hamish decides I’m his next scandal.
And maybe more...
Shopping for a Highlander is an enemies-to-lovers, slow-burn romance that opens with a surprise kiss and ends with a happily ever after. This sports comedy in the New York Times best-selling Shopping for a Billionaire world contains no actual chickens, but it has plenty of locker room scenes, a fake relationship, very real banter, and more. You do not have to have listened to the previous books in this world, though after you hear about Amy and Hamish, you’ll want to. ;)

One of the best RomCom series ever
From the first chapter Julia Kent had me hooked on Hamish McCormick and Amy Jacoby’s story. If there is one thing I know when I start a book by this author, I know I am in for an entertaining read that will have me laughing so much that I will cry.
OMG Shane East and Emma Wilder had me laughing until I cried. Their narration was outstanding and had me glued to my earphones as I devoured this story.
After reading Shopping for a Turkey, I couldn’t wait to dive into this book. This book was so good. The family and shenanigans were as outrageous as always and made for a fun read. Not only was it funny but the chemistry that sizzles between Hamish and Amy was impossible to ignore.
Amy has been tasked with keeping Hamish out of trouble and she has her work cut out for her, particularly when he decides to focus his attention on her. There’s a fine line between love and hate and It was so much fun to watch the push and pull as they navigated their relationship. It was also great to see all the familiar faces that we have come to know and love make an appearance.
Shopping For A Highlander was a fabulous addition to one of my favourite romantic comedy series.

Rom-Com gold
This story was so much fun to listen to and I enjoyed every word of it. Hamish and all of his crazy Scottish phrases and words had me cracking me, it was like I was back in Scotland.
Hamish is a Footballer at the top of his game and the endorsements are coming in like crazy. However, he has a reputation of being a ladies man so Amy is hired to watch over him and make sure he stays in line without any more scandals. The two know each other, his cousin married into her family, and also have shared a kiss or two in the past. But Amy is there to be a professional and make sure her job gets done.
Hamish and Amy are absolutely hilarious and I loved their banter. They are perfectly made for each other and I smiled throughout this whole book. Even when Hamish was being a numpty. They definitely have a love hate relationship that worked so well for these two. It had me cracking up and I couldn’t wait to get to the ending. “Shopping for the Highlander” is rom-com gold and I hope we get more from them in future books.
Shane East and Emma Wilder were amazing, once again. They were the perfect choices. Emma’s male voice is always top notch and she did a great job with the male Scottish accent.

Love this series…Eager for book 3.
I have never laughed out loud so much to a series. Book one was a little bit more funny because of the whole Thanksgiving theme. Book 2 however was funny in a completely different way. Career minded women who are focused on education and have set personal goals tend to push distractions away. The biggest distraction they face is MEN. The struggles faced in this story are the same struggles we all have faced in one way or another. Let’s face it though we are harder on ourselves than anyone else. I call it my “girl brain”. It’s that part of your brain that exaggerates everything, replays what you think are embarrassing moments, hounds you constantly about your mistakes, etc. (It drives my husband crazy, not in a good way.) Seriously the “girl brain” is your very own built in torture device (no batteries required.) It takes a patient, loving, strong, and confident man to outwit and overcome that “girl brain”, and finally see the awesome lady being controlled by it. Please don’t let a little male arrogance at the beginning of book 2 stop you from listening further. This is truly a great story that many of us have lived and have fun looking back on and laughing about now.

No redeeming qualities DNF
THERE WAS NO CHARACTER GROWTH FOR HAMISH!!!
So I only got this book because I wanted to see where Hamish and Amy's story ended up. I thought by the end of the last book, Hamish would have realized he needed to change and become a better man. Of course that didn't happen. This book started off right away with Hamish being a puke of a man JUST LIKE THE LAST BOOK!! I wasted 2 credits on this series. The first book was okay, but you're just learning about the characters so I didn't judge it too harshly. I'm only an hour into this book and I've decided Hamish is still a man wh*re just like the first book. One minute he's hitting on Amy like crazy and kissing her, the next he's flirting with every woman who looks his way. I don't have a problem with books where the man has history with lots of women, but usually after guy and girl meet and there's loads of chemistry, guy stops being a disgusting man wh*re. Not Hamish though. He blatantly hits on women and calling them "pet" ugh puke. He even calls Amy it. I don't know. I found him unredeemable. Amy could do better. I'm just disappointed because I thought this was going to be the book where he straightened his sh*t up (and maybe he does eventually) but I can't sit and listen to him be a disgusting pig. All that should have been left in the first book and this book should have been about him pulling his head out of his ass and realizing what he has in Amy.
The ONLY good thing about this book was the narration. Sadly, not even good narration could make me want to finish this. I am unable to return the books on my app so I will be calling audible to get these 2 credits back.
