Publisher's Summary

You'd think that basically being in charge of love would be an epic job, right? Wrong. Sure, I can blow some Lust into people's faces and watch the show, but I can't actually participate. It gets old, trust me. Same goes for love. I can pass it out like sugar-free lollipops at a dentist's office, but I can't get any love for myself. It totally sucks.

I used to consider myself a hopeless romantic, so why wouldn't I choose to become a cupid? Sounds like a good idea, right? Wrong again. They don't call us stupid cupids for nothing. I'm stuck in this never-ending afterlife where I'm invisible, lonely, and bitter as hell. And yeah, I'm probably responsible for some terrible matchmaking out there. Sorry, not sorry.

All my bad cupid'ing might be why I was exiled from the human realm. You can do only so much before the cupid bosses get all huffy. Unfortunately, my bitterness carried over into the new realm, and then I attacked a fae prince with Love Arrows. Accidentally. Okay, not accidentally. But hey, he deserved it. What I didn't expect was for him to retaliate and hit my ass with some crazy magic mojo strong enough to push me into the physical realm. Whoa.

That's right. This cupid just got a real body. And you know what that means.... Now it's my turn to get some. Love, I mean. Get your head out of the gutter. Wink, wink bitches.

Author's note: This is a medium-burn reverse harem story. It includes explicit language and sexual situations. Intended for audiences 18 years and older. As this is a series, there will be a cliff-hanger.

WHY DO AUTHORS DO THIS????

Better Reverse Harems are Trickery Curse of Gods series and Portrait of Pain. Reverse Harems are tricky to do but why is it expected to believe a woman can be bleeding to death but still feel lust from a group of guys who want to hurt her??? It is so frustrating that authors don't know how to ease the main female lead character into the multiple relationships. It starts as a decent story but then it turns stupid when she is being physically harmed and still feels like having sex, turns down help to remove the arrow and the sheer amount of the use of the word "corporal" is utter agony.

So funny!

I loved this book. I loved the main character. She is so funny and sweetly jaded. I also love the guys! Even not first. The narrator did a good job. I am so glad the author chose to turn this one into a audiobook. I highly recommend this book.

Can’t get enough!

I loved this book! I wasn’t too sure where the story would go in the beginning, but I loved where it went!! And my god this book literally had me busting up laughing, making my boyfriend give me sideways glances while I listened. So good!! Highly recommend!!

Not great

Never really got going for me. The main character is an air head and well the book just isn’t to my liking.

I hated this tbh

I couldn't get past chapter 2. Skipped around hoping it would get better and.... nope. I found the female lead to be obnoxious and cringy. Also narrator sounds like a middle aged wine mom. Next!

Flagrant plagiarism

Major plot points and entire conversations are taken directly from the Curse of the Gods series. It’s been a year since I read those books and immediately checked the comments to see if the likeness was my own imagination. According to the comments, this book copies heavily from Curse of the Gods and another series I haven’t read yet. While I would like to continue this series, I can’t, in good conscience, support blatant plagiarism. If a college student were to submit this as an assignment, they would be eligible for expulsion under most standard codes of conduct. As fun as this first book was, I simply can’t compromise my morals for a story.

Over the top limp wristed female

The performance was awesome, but the story lacked sustenance. It was decidedly bland and predictable.

I’m just so tired of these books

First I did NOT know this book was a RH. I’m an so sick of these authors thinking that a 30-something year old women would act like a teenager who just got her first period. It makes me so mad. Is this really how you see women? Is this how you would act? Don’t write a summary tha the main character is a kick ass heroine.m when she’s nothing but. Its the biggest pet peeve I have with books these days. Between this and the stupid “reverse herem of teenagers” thing, I just can’t take it anymore. Nobody wants this. I mean yes every girl wants to be pined after but to be in a relationship with a bunch of different men??? It’s an adult concept with teenager GIRLS being the main attraction. How do these authors get away with this crap? I don’t know how anyone can write a story about a 16 year old having 4 or 5 “mates” the word “mate” means they will eventually have sex. So your writing a porn book about a 16 year old. I mean really. 🙄 I’m almost done with audible and these stupid authors. It’s 2019 and I thought we were done with making females stupid and whiny.

Great first book in the Series!

This was my first Raven Kennedy's book and won't be my last. This is a great and intriguing Fantasy Reverse Harem Romance. The story is really well written, the world building is captivating. I love the slow burn between Emelle (ML) and her three men, Ronak (Not-First), Sylred (Second), Evert (Third). The storyline is fast-paced, action packed, and filled with hilarious scenes. Emelle is funny/crazy, strong, and adorable. I love her guys! The story ends with a cliffhanger. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series. Melissa Schwairy did an amazing job with the narration. I love her voice!

Story: Characters - Emelle, Sylred, Evert, Ronak... It's very rare that I give any book 5 stars. I can't say there's anything that I did not enjoy about this book. I felt like the characters were original and believable. I enjoyed the plot and the dialogue between the characters. I enjoyed the flirty moments between the characters. This book was hilarious. Some say it reminds them of Curse of the Gods but aside from a life force bond, that's really all that was similar to me. I also found a similarity with The Dark Side because Emelle had to learn how to be in the physical world. That was extremely interesting to see because you don't know what all these feelings are since you've never been able to feel anything.

I really can't wait to see what happens next. This was overall just a fun book to read. If you love to laugh and you love Reverse Harem, definitely read this one. Even though there was no sex in this book, it had everything that I needed. This book set the foundation and I hope there will be sex in the next book.

Narration: Melissa Schwairy - I absolutely loved this narrator. I cannot wait to see what she narrates next and I can't wait to hear the 2nd book of this series.

Great concept!

At the start of the book, there's a strong similarity to Kristy Cunning's "Four Psychos": the invisible, ghost-like girl who's starved for contact with anyone, the way she initially calls the men "First", "Second" and "Third" much like the numbers 1-4, and the mysterious trials/goal under time-constraints coinciding with the main character's appearance. However the overall setting and creativity manages to set this book apart from that.

I loved the main character's frustrations with love stem from her being a Cupid; watching couples fall in and out of love while being unable to be seen, heard, or touched by anyone. Her inner monologue is great fun too but has a habit of telling and not showing her emotions. She says things like "I'm pissed", "It tastes amazing", "I'm depressed", and "My wing hurts" which is just frustrating. Show me that you feel this way and think these things through your actions!

The character development is great. The main character's new experiences change her throughout the book and she has very believable responses to get surroundings and situation. The guys steadily learn to trust her and cope with her being a little more extroverted than they expected. One of the guys is clearly meant to be "the asshole" but he's taken to such extremes that I genuinely don't like him at all through most of the book. I get that after a while he's tough because he cares, but for a long while it just comes across as cruel. It gets better but I'm reluctant to like this guy now. Hopefully that changes.

Small note: the book is described as a medium-burn, but it's definitely a slow-burn. This book is the characters getting to know each other with her first kiss at the very end. I was kinda disappointed because I expected more, but it did feel right for the characters so I'm not mad about it.

The narrator has a fun voice that conveys emotion well. Some of the accents early on weren't great, but they were very small roles compared to the core characters. Each of the men had a different tone to their voice, which is impressive as they were all voiced by the same female actress as the lead. I also LOVED the voice she used for Arachno. She was so chilling and genuinely creepy. I hope she makes another appearance in the series because she was fantastic.

Love, Laugh, Love - literally

I love this hapless lite cupid, who stumbles into every possible and impossible situation you can imagine. So many LOL moments and this story will leave you with a full heart and happy sigh. It's become one of my favorite pick-me-ups and comfort rereads and the audio makes it even better. ❤️

Unique and interesting

This was a unique take on the Cupid lore. The world building was exceptional the character development was deep and thorough and you definitely came out with your favorites. This is a slow burn so there’s no steam to speak of in the first book at all but it’s definitely set up for the second and third books. No trigger warnings. Definitely recommend this as the beginning to the series and I’m definitely gonna look up the other books in the series.

I knew from the blurb that this would be good. What I didn’t expect was to get a workout while listening from all the laughter. It had a good amount of heat plenty of humour and characters that you just want to keep forever. Loved this and can’t wait to jump into the next one as this one was fantastic

So Funny!

This book was had me laughing from start to finish, I couln't get enough, I devoured it in one sittiing. ML is hilarious, she's charmingly naive, a trouble magnet and has a heart of gold. When her wish comes true, but it isn't everything she hoped for, there are some serious downsides, and her misadventures are side splitting, I can't wait to start book 2!

Don’t give up too early

To be honest, I found the heroine very annoying to begin with. She also talks to the reader and I nearly quit the book within the first few chapters.
Give it a chance, because it does get better and I am now thoroughly invested in the series.

Melissa Schwairy is a FANTASTIC narrator

Wow! Whoever chose Melissa Schwairy to narrate this job deserves a gold star. And Melissa Schwairy herself? Someone give her a pay rise. She is an EXCELLENT narrator. Her vocal expression is absolutely fantastic and her narration really fits the character of Emelle, the female MC of Signs of Cupidity. This story is lighthearted and such a fun read and Melissa does such a fantastic job conveying that in her narration. She really brings Emelle to life. Would recommend this story if you’re after a light read and need some laughter. I’ll definitely be checking out other works by Melissa Schwairy!
