Publisher's Summary

The fourth book in the Amazon charts best-selling series by Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author, K.F. Breene.

Kieran has stepped up to take his place as the ruler of magical San Francisco. As his girlfriend I'm in the spotlight, and the Hades Demigods have taken notice. They want me on their team, and they don’t plan on asking nicely.

Kieran and I are both under fire. They will kill him to get to me, and they'll take me by force if necessary. It is essential I learn more of my magic.

With no other options, I do what scares me the most - I summon the last Spirit Walker to help train me. Except, he's a loose cannon with looser morals, and learning spirit is treacherous. I might evade the Demigods only to be lost in spirit forever.

OMG!!!!

OMG it's soooo good. There's a lot to unpack but all in it's time. Not rushed or dragging just perfect. KFB is one of my new faves!! I'm not happy that I have to wait until July for the next book. There's so much of her writings that I can explore. Hey KFB, Would you please consider some free listening options like Read and Listens for free, Audible Escapes or a free audio codes? Anything helps😁
As always Khristine Hvam was amazing!!
Please enjoy. This is a great series and the only disappointment you'll have is that 10 to 12 hours of listening was not enough.

It’s great!

It’s been a while since I read the first three books so I listened from book 1 all they way to this book, number 4, in the series. I’m glad I did because it got me rolling in the whole story again. This is a great installment. The baddie is more dangerous, powerful and stakes higher in this book. Everyone is coming into their own, especially Lexi, Daisy and Morti. Lexi and Kieran’s love is strong. I really liked what he told when she wanted to break up. It ends in a cliffhanger...ugh. I’ll be going out of my mind until the next book. I’m glad the author is making more books, the chemistry of all the characters is very good and there is some genuinely funny dialogue. Hope the series keeps going for a while. The narrator is perfect. I knew exactly who was talking and her emotions really bring it to life. When in Rome!

Best of the series

I’ve enjoyed listening to each book in the series but this one far outshines the others.
I laughed at parts.
I was tense and worried in parts.
I cried at other heart wrenching areas.
Over all, this one had Me wrapped up like I was living it with them.

Awesome book for the series.

This story will lift your spirit

Love every single story in the series. This one had my full listening ear. I finished it in a day . Lexi and Kieran. Lexi will be tested with her power, from all sides . One of Hades Demi Gods is her father , meanwhile another Hade Demi gods thinks Lexi and Kieran are childlike /weak in their power. Little did they know both Lexi and Kieran are not to be toyed with . Lexi with call a spirt walker to train her . He’s a conniving spirit and he will show her lots of ins and outs . There is a sad spot at least for me because Kieran will loose one of his 6. It broke my heart. Lexi will need to pull everything to save her 2 wards . Magnets a Demi God of Hades , ! Lexi father think he has the upper hand on both of them but Lexi and Kieran decide to play Chess with him . A tit for tat. Yes it ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next one

Khristine Hvam was and is fantastic. Her accent for all the characters. Her voice tone for all the accents are great.

I’m hooked as usual!

I love, loved this book. I cried and laughed as if these characters were real and this wasn’t an actual fictional book I was listening to. I guess death was inevitable and I should not be cursing K.F. Breene, but it pulled at my heartstrings. I can’t wait to read the next book because sh*t just got real. These characters are coming along great and I can’t wait to see Kieran and Lexi’s next move on the chess board.

I love this series, this one will bring out all the feels

I think this series just gets better and better each book. This book was an emotional roller coaster ride there was action, drama, suspense, romance, tragedy, laughter and tears.
We got to learn more about other players on the chessboard and Magnus is definitely one scary dude. We got to meet Harding, at first I didn’t understand why he was doing some of the things he did and I didn’t really trust him but then finally he gave an explanation to Alexis and it all clicked in place, like oh that makes sense that’s why he’s not doing certain things.
I will say there are a few heartbreaking parts in this book that brought about ugly crying moments. There is also some exhilarating, beautiful moments that made me cry for completely different reasons.
Kieran and Alexis were just as great of a couple as ever, I can’t even say enough about how much I love every single character that surrounds this couple, they all were great in this book and of course Daisy and Mordecai just bring something extra special to the story.
I loved all of the different POVs.
The ending was perfect and it just sets up great for the next book in the series.

Still Focused

Great story and excellent concussion. Jacks death broke my heart, but they did find a way to make him still feel a part. I am ready for book 5.

nice distraction

The different books have been a nice distraction from real life. I like the continued saga of the main characters. Using the old gods of the past has made it an interesting story .

More focused on the characters than the main romance

Still really good. The writing is very funny and the narration is excellent. Can’t wait for more.

Emotional Ride

‘Sin & Spirit’ is book four in K.F. Breene’s Demigods of San Francisco series. This is continues on from ‘Sin & Salvation’. This book is told in multiple POVs, Alexis, Kieran, Daisy, Bria and Magnus.

Valens is gone, Kieran got his vengeance for his mother, the threat that Valens portrayed is no more. Valens may be gone but the threat to Alexis, her wards and Kieran is only just getting started. The Hades Demigods know about Alexis and her powers as a Spirit Walker and they are going to do whatever it takes to get her.

Firstly, No, No, NO!!! I am not ok, absolutely not ok with events that took place in this book. Why, oh why did you have to go and do that to my heart Ms Breene? That was cruel, evil and so so mean... 😭

This book has gone and absolutely destroyed my heart, it has been ripped out of my chest, squeezed, trampled on and shattered. I don’t even know where to begin to start putting it together.

Just like the other books in the series be prepared for one hell of a ride, twists and turns, surprises, angst, shocking revelations, unpredictability, awe and swoon moments. But bonus to pick you up off the floor the hot and steamy scenes with Kieran and Alexis.

I have no idea where to start or wait to say that can honestly do this book any justice, I feel as this book has been the most enjoyable and highly addictive one thus far. The overall experience of reading it can not be expressed with words.

The “family” we have all come to love continue to stick together and grow stronger as a unit. A new character is introduced and he is something else...

This book will surely mess with you emotions, but if you stick it through, I promise you we enjoy it, hopefully as much as I have. But maybe have some tissues and chocolates near by.

I can’t wait to see what is next for this bunch, looking forward to reading ‘Sin & Lightning’.

another great addition to series.

Fun and well thought through storylines that are taken to the next level by fantastic narration. I really do enjoy the byplay between the characters the most, but this one had more action than that and character development. still enjoyed it though and will definitely be checking out the next one.
