Publisher's Summary

Getting kidnapped isn’t so bad.
At least, it’s not when your captor is a billionaire with a huge...heart.
He saved me from my abusive ex-boyfriend when I couldn’t get away.
Now he owns me, and he wants to get engaged.
The only problem is, my ex isn’t letting me go so easily.

Dean Sharp is a breathtakingly gorgeous, arrogant, and an asshole. At least that’s my first impression when he knocks out my abusive boyfriend.

When we get home, I know my boyfriend’s going to make me pay for what Dean did.

But Dean Sharp isn’t done meddling in my life. Not even close.

He grabs me from outside my motel, throws me in his car, and says I’m his hostage. He doesn’t want money, though. What he does want is the last thing I would’ve ever expected.

He wants me to pretend to be his fiancee so his daughter and brothers don’t suspect anything. And he says he won’t let me go until he’s sure I’ll never go back to my abusive boyfriend.

The thought of crossing my boyfriend terrifies me, and I’ve spent the last two years trying not to even think of what he’d do if I left. He owns me.

At least he did until Dean Sharp stepped into my world. He saved me from my abusive relationship, and now he wants to give me something even bigger: an enormous diamond ring. How can a girl say no to that?

*This is a full-length, standalone fake marriage romance. No cheating or cliffhangers, and as always, Happily Ever After guaranteed.

Annoying h

I don't think I would have finished this book if it weren't for the narrators but Camille was just annoying to me. I understand being a victim of domestic violence but this chick was just too stupid for me to enjoy. I didn't like the stupid things she did in the book

Excellent story!!!

Dean is out having a quiet drink when he sees a man being rough with a woman. He steps in and ends up hitting the guy, when the woman, Camille pushes last him and helps her boyfriend up and leaves with him. Dean follows them to a hotel and ends up kidnapping Camille to keep her safe from Sean, Her boyfriend. Then he talks her into pretending to be his fianceé in front of his daughter and brothers. This is an intriguing suspenseful story and I highly recommend it!

Tried to do too much

Fake relationship. Kidnapping. Abusive ex. Dead sibling. Relative as ‘parent’. Twins. Abusive childhood. One or two would have been ok. At some points, I thought it was a farce because it got a bit too convoluted. I think it would be a story to be re-worked and re-recorded and it would be better. I’ll try something else by the author but probably only 1 other title.....

HORRIBLE!!

Who writes this crap and more to the point, who actually reads it and likes it??? Let’s face it, you get what you pay for, and at free, I never should have believed the reviews. Stay as far away from this junk you can. Watching rerun on TV is better. After listening painfully to 4 or 5 chapters, I’d had enough. Use a Audible credit or join the Romance Package, but don’t read free Kindle books, unless it’s a cookbook.

Such a stupid no sense story we need better writers. Or Penelope needs to find a new career. So disappointing, ridiculous. I cant even believe utter shit like this gets published.

a must read

Well a must listen to. This story was packed with everything you would want in a long novel. I especially loved the epilogues how it covered almost everyone. I wish Murphy would have been included in it. Ita a must read or listen to book

if I could give this negative 1,000 Stars I would!

this book made me so irritated. I am a domestic violence survivor and I can say 100% that this is completely inaccurate. there is no way that a woman and a domestic violence situation would first and foremost allow anyone to overpower them like that and take them away from their abuser they would be too scared and would fight tooth and nail to get back.

second, there's definitely no way that that woman would have let another man touch her much less sleep with her in 24 hours.

I absolutely despise books that inaccurately represent the emotional mental physical and sexual distress and healing that a survivor has to go through. this does nothing but set inaccurate ideas around escaping and healing from domestic violence.

I would strongly urge the author to review what topics she tries to write about and make sure to accurately represent major issues in our society instead of glossing them over and making them inconsequential.

Great listen!

It does have some Triggers. Had a good amount of heat and Suspense. I really want a better ending. Like Both brothers marrying. Definitely a couple of follow up books are needed.

Story all over the place

Horrible story, abused women gets beat up by abusive boyfriend, rich man saves her. abused women leaves with abuser boyfriend. Rich man follows them and kidnaps her. Abused women calls best friend, best friend goes to rich man's home, tries to kick in rich man's door to rescue abused friend, but instead of saving her abused friend from rich man who, by the way, already saved abused woman, best friend insta-loves rich man's brother. Abusive boyfriend kidnaps rich man's daughter, rich man gets shot but marries abused woman anyway and of all things rich man and abused woman open a music store. Female narrator too dramatic. Storyline is crazy, all this and everybody's ok with bizarre behaviors and outcomes. horrible, just horrible.
