Publisher's Summary

This emotional novel from a New York Times bestselling author follows four lifelong friends as each faces a crisis in family, love, and forgiveness.

Serena, Michelle, Kenya, and Lynette have been best friends since they were small children. And as sister friends forever, they have always been there for one another, through good times and bad, no matter what.

This year is a crucial turning point for each woman. Serena, still single, is questioning why love hasn’t found her yet. Michelle is engaged and ready to walk down the aisle—until an old flame strolls back into her life. Kenya is happily married, but at the same time, her husband’s ex-wife won’t allow them or their family to live in peace. And Lynette’s divorce from her cheating husband has her nervously dating for the first time in well over a decade.

During this difficult period, their friendship will be tested like never before. Yet it is that sisterly love that they will need . . . more than ever.

Didn’t finish!

These are some of the worst narrators I’ve ever had the displeasure of listening to! I couldn’t even finish because they were so awful! No worries, I pretty much figured out what’s going to happen by chapter 5 anyway.

The book I was forced to finish

I had a hard time getting through this book, but since I bought it, I felt obligated to finish it. The story line was cliche. The narration was not to my liking at all. All the drama came towards the end, and then it just ended with yet another cliche vibe. The whole book felt almost nauseating to listen to. I couldn't decide if it was the tone of the narrator, or the story line itself. Sadly, my conclusion is that it was both.

Good

A good solid read. Not a solid 5 but definitely a 4, an interesting and good listen. Would do well as a Saturday night movie.

Did not like

I wanted to like this book but it just didn’t make the cut. The narrators were annoying and the voices they used for the different characters was horrible. The story line was very predictable. Just disappointing all the way around!

Terrible narrators

I couldn’t even finish. I returned this because the narration was horrible. I normally like all her books but I don’t know if I would have liked this or not.

Voice overs

I would recommend to have a male voice over for their roles in the book.

Sister Friends Forever- good story bad performance

Sister Friends Forever story was good. It represents many woman’s lives of today. Unfortunately the readers voice was monotone. It is hard to distinguish between the readers this made the book drag and sound boring.
I love Kimberla Lawson Roby books and maybe this would have been a different experience if I’d just read it and not “listened” to it. Overall I give it 2 stars and will recommend it but not on Audible.

Awful Narration

The narrator for Kenya was absolutely awful!!! It is the worst I have heard. It took away from the story.
