That's where The Emotional Craft of Fiction comes in. Story
It's every novelist's greatest fear: pouring their blood, sweat, and tears into writing hundreds of pages only to realize that their story has no sense of urgency, no internal logic, and so is a page-one rewrite. The prevailing wisdom in the writing community is that there are just two ways around this problem: pantsing (winging it) and plotting (focusing on the external plot).

Publisher's Summary
Sell books the smart way.
Five years ago releasing a book as an indie author meant uploading it, then begging everyone you knew to buy it. That method simply doesn't work anymore. Fortunately, there's a better way.
Amazon has spent billions of dollars over the last decade building the world's best sales engine. They use machine learning to sell massive piles of books, and that engine is just waiting for you to tap into it. This is the book that will teach you how.
Ready to become a six-figure author? You'll learn:
- Why a sale isn't just a sale - who you sell to is more important than how many
- How to find your target audience
- How to train Amazon to sell for you

This book made me a best seller
What made the experience of listening to Six Figure Author the most enjoyable?
The content was everything it promised and then some. It was written in an easy-to-digest, conversational manner. I felt as though I was sitting in a café with the author, listening to him explain his model for success.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. I stopped several time to take notes.
Any additional comments?
This is the real deal. I recommend this book HIGHLY.

Much more value than I expected!
I resisted this book for a long time, as I don't like the idea of falling down the rabbit hole of data analysis to try and sell books.
But now I realize I should have read this a long time ago!
I was actually turned on to this book by a webinar with the author promoting his new advertising course in which he said the majority of the material in the course is covered in this book.
This book really was not what I expected it to be. Rather than a deep dive into data analysis, here we have a strong emphasis on fundamentals that offer a firm grounding to build on in your journey to becoming a full-time author.
I definitely found a number of choice nuggets, as well as a deep evolution in my understanding of how Amazon and the other retailers work.

Given up trying to write fiction? Not anymore!
I'm gonna gush here. I really feel this way. Now is the time. No more are publishers standing in the way of your writing career. A whole host of new authors are finding success in electronic publishing. And get this--those writers are selling fiction. Chris Fox is one of them.
Fox had gotten out of mortgage trading just before the crash in 2007, but was living on $12 an hour in Northern California with four roomies and, as he put it, getting stoned and playing video games and putting on weight. Thinking he had nothing to lose, he decided to give his failed writing career another try. When he delved into the world that's been created by Amazon's Kindle, he discovered the keys to making it work. He's sharing them in this book, the techniques he used to revitalize his writing and sell his fiction. He really is making more than $100,000 a year on his fiction alone.
I've decided to give it a try too--I'm on my third book in a series, and I've got Chris Fox to thank for it. Go for it!

This book should be titled "How to make money on a SINGLE retailer." The author tried and failed to sell one way (before putting in the work to build an audience as you will have to do on every platform) and completely dismisses selling anywhere other than the Zon.
I expected this book to be at least somewhat unbiased and for the author to have taken more than a few short weeks to learn more than one way.
What a waste of money.
If advice follows "only one way to do X" then the advice is shoddy at best, and the person giving said advice was too lazy to attempt having a well-rounded pool of knowledge on the subject. There is an astounding amount of terrible advice in this book, that Kindle unlimited authors or all platform authors would both do best to run. It's surprising when his other books, at least the ones I've read, are at least somewhat knowledgeable.
