I personally didn't find this book effective. I dont believe that it had enough time.

A great way to start!


Great kick starter! This book lays it out in a simple to understand manner which makes it easy to get started. I had the attention span of a gnat and was being squashed by the pressures at work. With the help of this book I have been able to start relieving stress and become more focus on my task at hand. All this for the price which was less that the total amount of loose change I found in the couch!

What’s in there

Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me is it’s pretty vague about what’s in there. Basically you have 4 meditations. First most heavily address lucid dreaming, although it actually claims to be also about past life regression. Second and third also claim to be about past life regression. Reason I say claim to be is it sounds more like creative visualization… you create the world you want to see. A nice meditation, but I don’t think it’s really about remembering a past life. It’s more like controlling a dream to visualize what you want to see.

Chapter 4 … overcoming your addiction to alcohol…
Do you see that mentioned anywhere??
I was surprised to find that in there. 4 chapters are all that’s listed , but each one is a unique meditation as listed above. I’d me a little annoyed about what’s in there if it wasn’t for how good the meditations actually are. The first is why I bought it … lucid dreaming. The second and third support it somewhat with creating your own world. The 4th just feels snuck in, if it were more vague (just overcoming addiction) maybe I could apply it to some aspect of my life, but it’s very specific about alcohol. So 4 stars because it’s great at what it does, even though it’s not completely what I thought I was buying.

Relaxing, effective

This is a nice guided meditation for relaxation. I have meditated all my life, but never tried a guided mediation before. I recently obtained not only this title, but also another one by the same company that is intended for 'positive thinking, mindfulness and self-healing.' They were both well done, but this one is obviously aimed toward relaxation and sleep, while the other is more uplifting.

I thought this was a worthwhile experience and will listen to it again if I am in the mood for a guided meditation.

No more 50 shades of dark circles under my eyes!

Would like to recommend it to people who are suffering from chronic insomnia and get anxieties.
The narrator reiterates the same content on different chapters and it might get to you, but his soothing voice and not forgetting to mention the sound of the waterfall was what got me to sleep!
I will surely be regimenting my dreams from now on :) this book taught me how to!
