Publisher's Summary

A lifelong crush, a devastating secret, and two broken hearts. Can an overzealous grandma bring them together for Christmas?

Jace Mitchell left town for the military eight years ago, leaving behind the woman he yearns to marry. An unfortunate accident takes Virginia, the woman he thought he loved. When he returns to town and falls in love with Virginia’s sister, he knows Charlotte will never forgive him when the truth comes out.

Charlotte Oliver is an independent, feisty firefighter determined to prove herself in a man’s world. When Jace Mitchell returns to Park City in all his beautiful glory, she thinks she may have met her match. He seems interested but claims she’s like a sister to him. Charlotte doesn’t know whether to kiss him, punch him, or just cuss him out good. She tries all three and loses her heart in the process.

Can these two overcome past hurts and broken dreams to find a love as magical as Christmas?

Childish drama

Even though this story was a sweet and clean romance, it was also unrealistic, predictable, and childish.

Teddy Hamilton was a fantastic narrator, and was the only reason I downloaded and listened to this book.

Clean, but heroine is not smart

Clean, but heroine is not smart. Christian and clean does not mandate stupid or ignorant.

Good Lord…

…why do so many of these books start out with potential then fall so flat? I can’t even bring myself to finish it even though it’s free. Once the mutual attraction starts it becomes very childish. Can’t even call it romantic. I developed zero interest in the characters. I’m disappointed because I felt like this was going to be a good one. I’m being generous by giving it two stars but reviews are subjective and some listeners did like it.

Very clean romance

Loved it. No matter how much she though she hated him, in the end love won over.

Best parts…

The firehouse scenes(especially the one with the fruitcake) and the grandma brought a lot of character and humor to this book. They were the best part. Everything else fell short of a good short story.

Clean, but physical

Clean, but too much emphasis on physical attraction and little about emotional attachment. It was a little far-fetched that the heroes best friend would keep such a secret.

Great story

This book has heat, humor, friendship, loyalty, drama, family, and heartbreak. Jace is so swoon worthy it is insane and Charlotte is such an amazing strong female! Their chemistry is fantastic as well as explosive. Teddy Hamilton does an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality.
