Publisher's Summary

What does landing your dream girl/guy and closing a million-dollar business deal have in common? They both require social intelligence, and massive amounts of it. It's no longer a secret - a person's ability to develop powerful relationships, communicate effectively, and say the right thing at the right moment is key if they want to make it in life.

What does "making it" entail?

Well, you name it; it could mean finding a spouse, landing your dream job, closing a business deal - it could even mean getting your lazy friend to travel with you to South America. The problem resides in developing these skills when you're a natural introvert or have a severe case of social anxiety. I was one of these cases and struggled a lot because of it.

During work meetings, everyone emphatically contributed ideas for improvement while I held back from chipping in, afraid no one would take me seriously. I could never get past small talk with the opposite sex. I simply lacked the social fluidity to transition plain interactions into meaningful conversations.

In social events, approaching others felt like a nightmare. I was dazed and felt the need of a blueprint for knowing how to start a conversation and connect with others (which I didn't have). I had to work hard on myself and push myself for many years to get past my social shortcomings and finally develop the thriving social life I enjoy today.

However, it doesn't have to be the same for you. In Social Intelligence for the Socially Awkward, I have compiled the resources necessary to begin developing your social IQ today!

In this audiobook, you will:

  • Discover genuine strategies for making genuine friends. Apply a simple trick used by the likes of public figures to never run out of things to say.
  • Finally take control of your speech apparatus and communicate the way you've always wanted to.
  • Discover secret covert influence techniques you can apply today to get your way in social scenarios.
  • Discover a simple technique, used by the best stand-up comedians, to get out of their head and project themselves in front of crowds.
  • Learn techniques used by dating coaches to communicate in a polarizing way to the opposite sex (and double your dating in the process).

If you're ready to grow your social IQ and your social life like never before, click the 'add to cart' button and get your copy of this audiobook today!

Worst reader ever

For all I know, this book was full of insight (though the first section showed no sign of it) but the reader was so atrocious I couldn't continue beyond the first section. This could be used to show potential readers what to avoid in their performance.

Love-Hate Relationship

The context of the book is really good. It gives you tips and great examples, but the narration is not for me. It has a young teenage tone to it and uses modern terms such as "snakes" to refer to "fake people". The narrator sounds soft and I could not take it serious at times. I'm punching air because the information is so great, bu the narration kills my focus.

Ironic

Everyone below is on this page because they have poor self esteem and want to feel accepted. So they come here to trash the authors voice. What a joke. The book is great, with great info.

overall good

it was a good starter book for social communication. It was very broad in focus from work to dating. Other books do it better but if you have not read them then this is a good start.

Really hard to listen to!!

For a book about socially awkwardness, I found it extremely ironic that they chose a narrator who has the most awkward/hard-to-listen to voice I have ever heard on an audible book. I am talking borderline robotic.

Creepy

VERY difficult to make it all the way to the end of this book with that creepy voice reading. Quite an uncomfortable few hours.

Decent listen

Good book spoken a little too softly

Good baseline analysis on conversation, well detailed, just needs to be delivered a little stronger.

Sounds like a robot

The content was decent, but it was hard to listen to the reader because it sounded like a robot.

Waste of time

Very very basic, doesn't expand enough on areas like small talk or really offer any insight into anything. Might be useful if you're on the spectrum, but 'join in at work, don't be racist' is pretty obvious...

9 This was a great book.

This book is an absolutely fantastic exposition of human behavior:how to understand our natural tendencies and, with those tendencies in mind, how to work with others in such a way as to optimize our mutual happiness. A must-listen for any leader or anyone wanting to improve the quality of their relationships.

This audible is one of the best!

I just finished this book after having owned it for several years. There is a lot of really good information packed on each page, which made it hard to consume at a fast rate. It was well written, and the information provided is applicable to those curious about how life primes us on social interactions from the time we're born until later in life. It is also a good listen to understand the inner workings of the human mind
