What does landing your dream girl/guy and closing a million-dollar business deal have in common? They both require social intelligence, and massive amounts of it. Story
Up to 40% of people consider themselves shy. You might say you're introverted or awkward, or that you're fine around friends but just can't speak up in a meeting or at a party. Maybe you're usually confident but have recently moved or started a new job, only to feel isolated and unsure. If you get nervous in social situations - meeting your partner's friends, public speaking, standing awkwardly in the elevator with your boss - you've probably been told, "Just be yourself!" But that's easier said than done - especially if you're prone to social anxiety.

Might be ok if it was not for the narrator
I listened to the first of 3 of the books before giving up.
The content is reasonable but is written in a condescending way that makes people feel small about their current situation rather than instils them with confidence that their situation is normal and that skills can be learned. There are some useful pointers and things to think about which helps you gets past the writing style.
What really lets the audiobook down is the narrator. He sounds like an smooth talking but insincere 18 year old trying to sell you a dodgy timeshare. There is little flow in the voice suggesting that he is reading the text for the first time and editing parts of sentences resulting in breaks to the flow. All of this results in a grating performance that you don’t really want to listen to.
