A good starting point.

This book has great info, and it's very helpful for those who are lacking with social skills. This book helped motivate to be more social than how to be social, but I refer this book to my other introvert friends because I think it can help them too.

Can’t quite comprehend how this got such good reviews!

This cannot be written for adults. Sometimes it sounds like a bad translation from another language.

how to teach a 15 year social skills

Extremely elementary, fundamental concepts more appropriate for teens than adults. Narration was cheesy and irritating.

Exactly what I needed

Excellent. It adds structure to social interaction, confirms what you have been doing right, and illuminates what wrong you have been doing wrong, and how to do it right. As a person who deals mostly with computers, this is exactly what I needed.

This is an amazing little audiobook!

A very well written guide on improving social skills. The approach is firm yet not unkind. In fact, the author is very considerate in their way of hiding the reader to better understand the ways they can improve their social wellbeing.

Irritating

Narrators voice sounds odd and disjointed, its hard to listen too. It also talks about not having strong opinions or people wont like you and gives feminists as an example. Completely turned me off this book. Wouldnt reccomend

Might be ok if it was not for the narrator

I listened to the first of 3 of the books before giving up.

The content is reasonable but is written in a condescending way that makes people feel small about their current situation rather than instils them with confidence that their situation is normal and that skills can be learned. There are some useful pointers and things to think about which helps you gets past the writing style.

What really lets the audiobook down is the narrator. He sounds like an smooth talking but insincere 18 year old trying to sell you a dodgy timeshare. There is little flow in the voice suggesting that he is reading the text for the first time and editing parts of sentences resulting in breaks to the flow. All of this results in a grating performance that you don’t really want to listen to.
