Jane

Mom and dad left us without any warning, without the chance to say goodbye. Overnight, all I have left is my baby brother, Charlie. But now, he has fallen ill, and death is calling. There’s only one way I know to save him.... Zare, the head of the biker gang. But men like him never come without a price; there’s always trouble. If I agree to be his wife, he’ll take care of Charlie’s medical bills. I’m ready to take the offer and accept him as he is...as long as he keeps his promise.

Zare

It’s always been easy for me to get girls; it’s just part of the fun of being a werewolf. Good looks and strong, muscular bodies seem to be in our DNA. But finding a true mate is another story! I’ve been looking for what seems like forever and nothing.... And then, I met Jane. Getting this girl, it seems, is not so easy.... So, I made her an offer she can’t refuse.

it wasn't terrible

The concept was okay but there were a lot of redundant words, and the narrator sounded as if in a constant state of seductive euphoria when speaking for the female lead. It wasn't a terrible story, however, I wouldn't recommend it.

Was a good quick listen.

This was a sweet book. It wasn't outstanding or one I'll probably think more on. But a good quick read. It kept my interest. Which says alot.

Couldn't get into the Narration

The story was okay. I finished it but was not in love. The narration annoyed me. Reminded me more of a Kindergarten Teacher reading to students. Odd to hear sex scenes in the overly dramatic narrator voice rather than just acting.

Missed the mark.

Book title is misleading and doesn't match the story. A better title would have been the wolf's proposition or the tragedies of a wolf's mate. There was just way to many hard knocks in this book. It over shadowed the couples interactions. I'm not even sure why there needed to be a proposition of marriage to begin with. Spoiler...Her car battery dies. She can't afford to replace it. She decides she's gonna have sex with the hot guy she's been lusting over so he'll fix it. He discovers they're mates. Next day she finds out her brother has cancer. A month goes by and she barely speaks to this man at work(at a bar). Obviously he doesn't really care she's his mate cause he's not trying to interact with her. Then he finds out from someone that her brother is sick and then has the bright idea to tell her he'll pay for her brother's medical expenses if she'll marry him. Sorry I had the biggest eye roll. Like how did we get to that?
There were terrible descriptor words as well. During sexy time the poor girls nipples got described as crinkled flesh. Didn't care for the narrator either. I'm not sure if she was trying to sound sultry or what she was trying to accomplish. What it came across as to me was an excessive over dramatization of a drama drama drama book.

Wasn't for me.

This was a hard listen for me. There wasn't enough to it and seemed like it was missing important information. The title of the book was also misleading. I think it could have been a great book it just missed the mark.
