Publisher's Summary

From USA Today bestselling author Rochelle B. Weinstein comes an emotional novel for mothers, daughters, and anyone who has ever felt imperfect.

Emma and Bobby Ross enjoy a charmed life on the shores of Miami Beach. They are a model family with a successful business, an uncomplicated marriage, and two blessedly typical twin daughters, Zoe and Lily. They are established members of a tight-knit community.

Then, on the night of the girls’ fifteenth birthday party, they learn of Zoe’s heartbreaking mistake - a private and humiliating indiscretion that goes viral and thrusts her and her family into the center of a shocking public scandal.

As the family’s core is shattered by disgrace, judgment, and retribution, the fallout takes its toll. But for Emma, the shame runs deeper. Her daughter’s reckless behavior has stirred memories of her own secrets that could break a marriage, a family, and friendships forever.

Save your $ - find a better book...

I couldn't stomach the writing...I actually thought it was satire because of the AWFUL conversations being used by the characters. I even googled the book to be sure. There is literally no person I know or encountered in real life that would talk like the mother, father, daughters (even the friends), in this book...and I only made it to chapter 4. I read other reveiws and knew it would not get better...

The narration by Tavia Gilbert is not her best; I'm sure the writing didn't help but I've listened to my favorite narrators read less than stellar books and I was not bothered as much - this was like chalk on a blackboard.

I see why it gets high reviews because of the subject matter; sexting, cyberbullying, social media as a weapon of mass destruction, etc...but damn, I can definitely read a better book with remotely believable characters who talk like real people.

Run from the book - find a better story with the same message. I wish this lived up to it's potential

In This Age

In this age of social media & helicopter parenting it is not surprising to find this cautionary tale. For some it may resonate as "too c!ose to home". The story is not without its flaws however. The author has indulged herself in the murky pool of melodrama. The teen daughter caught up in consensual experimentation, an hysterical mother drowning in her own youthful hidden indiscretion & a father who is little more than a selfrighteous jerk. The story plays out to a predictably sappy ending. All in all, not my cup of tea

Painful

I had high hopes for this story, but for me it just went on and on and on. I eventually skipped through just so I could find out how it ended. The mom in the story was very whiny and overly dramatic for me. Maybe some people are like this, but she really started getting on my nerves.
I personally was just glad this was over.

Very Real for the Parents of 2days Teens

I listen to this book with my 14-year-old daughter. I highly recommend parents of teens to read along with their kids. It discusses the very real consequences to posting on social media things you can never take back or make go away once it's put out.

Not For Me

This one was a struggle for me. I am on a path to healing and I thought this might be a tool, but it's not. I can see the appeal of a story like this one, but it's just not for me. Enjoy.

There but for the Grace of God go I!

We have ALL done things that we would not want out there for the world to scrutinize and this book shows just how much today’s technology can devastate a person by putting a spot light on our indiscretions.

Excellent

Excellent story so true to today's way of how technology can rule our lives. The story brought tears to my eyes, well written and very good narrator.

Well written & heartfelt

A hard subject to write about and the messages are clear. Beautifully narrated making every moment real and it is so easy to feel the emotion of each character, even the minor players. Excellent read.

Avoid!

The narrator was irritating and the story, although interesting from a contemporary viewpoint regarding social media, was over dramatic. I listened to this for about 2 hours, forcing myself to get to the end but I just couldn’t listen to the hysterical mother anymore.
The whole experience was simply irritating
