Publisher's Summary

From the international best-selling series Something So.

Zack

Finding my teammate in bed with my wife made the decision I had been fighting with for years easier.

It’s time to move on.

A fresh start and a new NHL team in a big city. Most importantly, it’s my son Jack’s best shot.

It would be both of our best shots.

Denise

After a bad childhood, I made sure I would succeed.

The problem is I die a little with each patient I lose. It’s part of my career at Hudson Children’s Oncology Hospital, but it doesn’t make the sting of loss any easier.

Seeking anything other than a life saved isn’t on my agenda until a NHL player walks into my hospital with his son.

We’re officially off script, the moment we meet.

If this love is anything, it’s unscripted.

Ahhh-maz-ing!!!

OMG This book is just Ahhh-maz-ing!! I read this book when it first came out and I have to say I really enjoyed listening to it and the narration is great! Holly did a great job evoking the same emotions from me as just reading the book did.
I absolutely love and adore everything about Denise, Zack & Jumping Jack and their story from the first page to the amazing epilogues! It is such a beautiful and incredibly sweet love story. Not only was the connection between Zack and Denise special and wonderful but the connection between Zack’s little boy Jack and Denise was so heartwarming. Just when I would think my heart couldn’t get any fuller, more goodness just kept on coming. I really can’t say anything more except this is a must read but make sure you have tissues.

Heartbroken over narration of Series Favorite

I have to start by explaining that I have LOVED every book that I have ever read that was written by Natasha Madison. I have also loved all her audiobooks... up until this book. In fact, when I saw that Something So Unscripted had finally been released on audiobook I "one-clicked it" without hesitating or checking the narrators. I mean the first 3 books of the Something So series were fantastically narrated by both a female and male narrator. I cannot even express the utter disappointment I felt as I listened to the prologue and realized that Zack Morrow was not going to be narrated by Joe Hempel (the male narrator from the first 3 books). Ms Fielding did a fine job with the female narration, but every man sounded like a woman.

This is a FANTASTIC story. Definitely buy the book. Zack and Jack will steal your heart, and the appearances of the characters from the first 3 books in the series are perfection. I just could not listen to the book after about 25%. Single parent hockey player Zack moves heaven and earth for his potentially terminally ill son. The potential savior is a female doctor (girl power), who also happens to be Mad Max Horton's sister. You get both a hockey and a heart story line, and she highlights the amazing work of the St. Baldrick's Foundation. (I am not kidding when I say this is a great book. I have read the ebook at least 4 times, and I teared up each time.) I just can't recommend the audiobook. Definitely download the first 3 audiobooks though. They are fabulous.

What a blast!!

I enjoyed listening to this so much! The book itself is great, but the narrator is really what makes this work so well. She really brings the story and characters to life, and made listening to this book extra fun. I'm definitely going to check out other books she's narrated!

The story is a classic boy meets girl, with characters you can really relate to and empathize with. I loved it--highly recommended for anyone who likes romances!

Story yes.... narration not so much

I loved getting more Denise, Steve, Olivia, M&M and of course the ladies. Then there was meeting Zack and Jumpin Jack. I loved the fight for a child that had so little to small for so much and everything to gain.

Sorry now on to what I did not like as much. There was time/years/events that just did not add up right. There was the narration that sounded the entire time as if the whole cast of characters were female. I could have went with h to e flow if the store was third person or even from one point of view but it was neither of those. I felt cheated out of an amazing listen. I missed the masculine ingredient.

So sweet!

Something So Unscripted was my favorite of the series! This tear-jerker was sweet, funny, charming, a little intense, and steamy! As an ALL survivor, I found this story very well written and respectful of the journey kids in Jumpin’ Jack’s position go through. Though we met Denise in the previous book, Natasha dives even deeper into her backstory and character development. I loved Zach’s character, he might be my favorite Something So hero...ok, maybe tied with Max.

Of all of the Something So narrations, Holly Fielding’s performance was my favorite. Even though I typically enjoy duet narrations better, I didn’t fully enjoy the other books’ narrations. Holly’s performance of both MCs was great!

I loved all the family character developments, the Grant/Horton dynamic is a hilarious good time. This swoon-worthy, witty, heartwarming, sexy romance is definitely worth a listen!

Not Worth the Credit

As much as I love the author and this series, the intermix of children dying and romance was a huge miss for me. I missed the humor and sexy character development from the previous books.

Great finale

I will always love this series and I can honestly say that I wasn't excited about Zack and Denise's story at all. They were two characters that didn't intrigue me when they popped up in book 3.

Zack makes sure that he inserts himself in Denise's life because he needs her for something very important and she is his last resort to save his son. They never expected anything else to happen between them. After all, Zack is a professional ice hockey player with a jam-packed schedule and his free time is spent with his son. Denise works not stop shifts on a hospital word with children who aren't guaranteed to see next week. Love has a funny way of happening though.

Natasha Madison is very good at writing heartfelt romance and I was nervous when I figured out where this story was going which is very early on. I didn't know if she would be able to pull off the soul-crushing pain that this storyline might have needed - but oh lord did she pull it off! I teared up multiple times!

This is a great way to finish a series but I am now craving the spin-off that much more.

Good story terrible narration

loved this line of Natasha Madison books, so whilst definitely enjoyed the story, was very disappointed in the narration. Both voices done by a female and at times it was confusing as to who you were actually listening to as her voice didn't change much for each character, so a bit of a let down.
