My favorite book

I have read this book more times than I can count over the years. I was Craig’s age when I first read it, now I’m older than Alec, amazing. This book is such a treasure to read and the heart felt witness is wonderful. I have given away so many copies to people who needed a boost, they always come back to me that this story touched them.

After all these years, hearing Sophie come to life, brought me to tears. I’ll be honest I am not a fan of the voice/tone used for Alec but the narrator does such a wonderful job with emotions it’s easily overlooked. Her Craig had me crying, he sounded just the way I heard him in my head. The narrator’s ability to capture Sophie’s accent and the frustration of not getting the words right is palpable. I love it.

I can only hope they do more of Lori Wick’s work.

Precious book

I can’t say enough about the excellence of this book and reader. The story was heartwarming and gave so much spiritual guidance. The reader made each character come alive. The suspense of what what coming next made me not wanting to stop listening.
I highly recommend this book.

Sophie’s heart

Enjoyed the story. So happy to read a story with a Christian theme. It shows that you can have a story without people jumping into bed.

Sophie's Heart

A bit too holy/sweet for my taste. But someone's grandma might really like this book.

My Fav Lori Wick

This story is already my favorite by this author and the narrator does it great justice. I was nervous but I'm glad the story held its integrity with a different voice then what's in my head when I read it.

Loving Lori Wick!

I have been a Lori Wick fan for almost 3 decades now! Her style of writing is wonderful. I love the settings that she uses. Try typing “Historical Romantic Christian Authors” in any search engine and your phone says, “What??” I cannot read any longer, so Audible has saved me!
I love the narrator, I get lost in the books that I am thrilled that her voices never get so annoyed about the way she reads to me.
The story is wonderful! I think I said this already, but it cannot be said enough! Please, please do “Bamboo and Lace” (my personal favorite), and then you can get started on the California series!! Not that I am pushing for what comes next!

What a surprise!

Lori Wick is a favorite of mine and I’ve always been sad that there weren’t many of her titles available. After the release of “The Princess” I had nearly given up hope for any additional audiobooks but boy was I surprised when I found “Sophie’s Heart” the other day! I shall continue to hope for other favorites from her. “Pretense” and “Bamboo & Lace” are two I hope to see one day.

As for this title, I can highly recommend it. It’s a sweet story, a nice message, in good taste, and (for me at least) no dull moments. The pacing is good and I have nothing bad to say about the narration. Some might call it a bit preachy but I don’t think it would be enough to turn people away.

Here’s hoping it won’t take another three years to get another!
