Publisher's Summary

I always thought love was black and white. You meet the girl and within the first meeting you'd know if she's the one. You live happily ever after. My concept was a little off, but it worked for me. I don't waste my time with women I don't see a future with. The day I met Whitney, I didn't get hit with the love bug, nothing spectacular happened, at least not how I expected it to.

The last year has been a constant struggle to live with the loss, the pain. Needing a change, I picked up and moved to Kentucky to live with the only family I have left. I didn't expect to feel at home like I did. I didn't expect him. The day I met Aaron, I was sure he would run for the hills the next time he saw me. That's not at all what happened.

She's everything. Everything I thought I wanted, and everything I never thought I would.

With his sweet gestures and words that melt my soul, he worked his way into my heart.

Now that I've found her, it's time to build our future.

How can I stay with this cloud that follows me?

Will Aaron and Whitney find their happily ever after?

Pretty good

This audiobook was well narrated and just moved kind of slow for me. The way the issue of breast cancer was dealt with was very sensitive and emotional. I liked the characters, just thought it moved kind of sluggish.

My Favorite Book!!!

I loved every minute! I laughed I cried I felt their love. Aaron is my dream guy! This isn't your normal guy being a guy and just trying to get in a girls pants. He genuinely loves her and is a good respectable guy. There needs to be more characters written like him. Heck there needs to be more guys like him period!

I Give Up

This is another boring unexciting romance by Kaylee Ryan. I really tried to like her writing and while I do see improvement, she has a long way to go before I try any more of her books. There is just to much monotonous dialogue that inspires a nap. I just didn't feel the chemistry between the love interests and the sex scenes lacked heat. I'm officially done for now with this author.

That narrators were good enough but they didn't have much to work with.

Not worth a credit -- maybe a reduced price.

Aaron is THE best book boyfriend ever!!

Whitney lost her mother to cancer a year ago. She moves to KY to be close to her only family. Whitney takes a job w local photographer, Kinley, and is immediately smitten with her boss’s brother. Aaron is one hunky farmer and he’s just as smitten with Whitney. He’s been waiting for ‘the one’ and is, surprisingly, not your typical man**ore. The pair hit it off and begin dating but Whitney is hesitant to give a relationship her all...she hasn’t quite recovered from the pain of losing her mom. Will Aaron’s live be enough for Whitney or will she run away?
Sweet story without angsty exes, etc. loved the supporting characters.

The Best Book Boyfriend!

Kaylee Ryan really blew me away with Southern Desire…it’s a beautiful love story between Aaron, a hard-working and self-sufficient rancher, and Whitney, a city girl who’s moved to Kentucky to be near family and to work as a photographer.

The characters and storyline are incredibly relatable, and I adore how KR writes such unique voices for each of her characters…her style for Lexi, Aaron’s young niece, is adorable! She also writes in a way that is well-suited for audiobooks…it’s apparent whether a MC is speaking or thinking…that makes a big difference in how well i enjoy a particular audiobook. The inner thoughts of KR’s main characters are quite like thoughts many of us experience in real life, and this greatly helps the reader to understand and experience the development of the H and h throughout the book.

Aaron is the perfect book boyfriend…we all need an Aaron in our lives. And Whitney is clearly a kind and delightful person, but she’s mourning the loss of her mother. KR wrote Whitney’s story in such a way that wasn’t overly angsty, but expressed the deep love and bond she had with her mother…and it touched me deeply. I become invested in each good book I read, but rarely do I cry. But I cried in parts of Southern Desire…the letters were an especially touching addition.

The narration was stellar! Written in first person with both the hero and heroine’s POVs, Joe Arden and Amy Johnson were ideal choices for Aaron and Whitney…their performance was superb,

Oh wow

What a tear jerker! I could have throttled Whitney a few times but it was such a good story and really showcases the agonizing that breast cancer can bestow on not just the patient but on their families left behind too.

Just ok

I was I put in the title of this rating it's just okay to me which kind of bums me because, Aaron was such a fun person in the 1st book and I couldn't wait to see how she incorporate him into his in this series. To my disappointment he just wasn't what I was hoping for Well now I'm off to the 3rd 1 hopefully it's good.
