Joe Gere said he died on the afternoon his 12-year-old daughter Brenda disappeared. It was left to Brenda's mother Elaine to sustain her stricken family, search for her missing child, and pressure the authorities for justice. From the first minutes of the investigation, suspicion fell on Michael Kay Green, a steroid-abusing "Mr. Universe" hopeful, but there was no proof of a crime, leaving police and prosecutors stymied. Where does Southern Fried Crime: Notorious USA Set (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
@ the very top.
What other book might you compare Southern Fried Crime: Notorious USA Set (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi) to and why?
Narration, duration, well written, well performed
Any additional comments?
My two favorite narrators are Oakes and peirce. They can make you feel the story without getting melodramatic. I appreciate authors that don't fill thier book with cliches and overly descriptive background just to fluff the volume. Of a book is 375 pages but half of them are filled with tired overused cliches you didn't write the book you quoted junk.

Great Narration!
The writing is good, the cases are intriguing, and the Narration is well done. There were many cases I had never heard of even though I have been a true crime drama fan for years. They had a few really old cases that were interesting and funny. They provided a nice break from the gloom of grisly serial killers and mass murderers.

A collection of short snippets into the mind of a killer, psycho, serial, and garden variety. Not very engaging in my opinion. Would have liked some emotions, but flat affect. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was okay.
