Publisher's Summary

Three years of her life are gone in an instant.

Her memories of becoming a famous artist - forgotten.
Of the falling out with her best friend - lost.
Of her charming boyfriend - erased.

The doctors tell us getting Sara back into her normal routine is what's best for her. But what happens when she doesn't want her old normal?

Some would say I'm trying to save ghosts from my past. I think they're wrong.

Maybe all of them are wrong.
Maybe the best thing for Sara is me.

not for me

this is by no means a bad book, however with my personal taste of the more erotic genre I have to say I was disappointed.
this book is sweet and it does delve into deeper feelings than some books but I couldn't help feeling I was "watching " a hallmark " movie very PG-13 except for a couple of sex scenes where they use explicit words, but everything else I would feel comfortable with letting my children listen to.

Unique and Emotional Romance!

I really enjoyed this unique and emotional romance. Denver is a firefighter who is trying to overcome the tragic loss of his parents. He is feeling alone, and at a loss without much of a support system. On a call to a horrific crash he overcomes his fear and saves a woman's life. He feels a connection with Sara as she recovers without support either. There are alot of questions about her past and present tho. When a mystery man steps forward to claim her, the questions only multiply. This was a sweet, emotional and exhilarating romance. I loved the way this story unfolded keeping me riveted from beginning to end. The narration by Teddy Hamilton, and Erin Mallon was stellar! They nailed these characters perfectly, making me feel all the fear, vulnerability, hope and love they experienced. I was completely lost in their moving performance and in Christy's amazing and beautiful story!

Enjoyed hearing more about Denver

The story was good...but, as popular as she is, I can't stand Erin Mallon's over exaggerated style. It really gets on my nerves. Not sure why the director doesn't tell her to lighten up the breathy way she ends nearly every sentence. Lately I have avoided books narrated by her....even if it a book by a favorite author.

Sparked me

It was good to read Denver's story after being introduced to his character in Stealing Sawyer. I wasn't sure I would like this one. I've found Samantha Christy's book a bit hit and miss for me. That could be the narrators, or some stories just resonate more. Though I'm enjoying the more recent series so much more.

I started this thinking, do I really like the character Denver, but man, once I started I couldn't stop listening. It just drew me in. Let's face it, the book is more his story than Sara's, but what a story. She was so lucky that he found her. He saved her, and then she saved him.

It was brilliantly written and just a great addition. I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series. So worth the credit.

Good Story

A good story from the start with great narration. First half read by Teddy Hamilton second half by Erin Mallon. A firefighter and an artist who looses her memory in an accident. Totally worth a credit!

Loving these audiobooks

Sometimes I struggle with audiobooks but I haven't listened to one Samantha Christy audiobook that I haven't truly enjoyed. The narrators are perfect and they being so much life to the book. Even though I have read every one of these books I almost think I enjoyed listening to them even more. This was another amazing book and I'm so glad I decided to invest in all of them.

Ummm.... wow. ....

I am not ugly crying, you are! this story was amazing. I loved it.
Denver is awesome! I cannot even believe the length he went through to help her and how much she helped him. 2nd chance at life is an eye opener. life has a way to through curve balls at you, and this story was sweet! definitely one of my favorites and will listen again when I want a feel good story.
I am quickly learning that Samantha Christy has a Nicholas Sparks feel with way better steamy times. ha.
I don't have better words, I am not a writer. (ha) but this story was moving and I fell in love with it.
Teddy Hamilton as always did great. Erin Mellon didn't bother me as much in this story. I don't know if I am getting used to her, but she still is not my favorite narrator.

Wow!

This was an unusual friends to lovers, not sure I can even call it that. At first I felt bad for Oliver and thought this was a love triangle situation which I do t like. But then everything changed. Samantha Christy always fills her books with trauma, angst and plenty of personal questioning and drama, and this book is no exception. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were fantastic narrators and brought all the feels to this emotional and unique story.

Great narration for a well written book

I really liked this story. We met Denver in prior stories (twin brother to Aspen, AKA Wife to Sawyer). As Samantha Christy is wont to do, she continues to build bridges across all her series so we get a lot of visits from prior characters. And I love that aspect because it's nice to be reminded of the positive feelings I have overall of her stories. The story of Sara and Denver is also very poignant. Denver saves Sara and then they become best of friends as Sara tries to piece her life together even though she has amnesia that erases the last 3 years of her life. I love them together although I don't like any cheating. Sara has a fiance, Oliver, so be forewarned. However, it is also important to note that Samantha Christy makes it crystal clear that Sara was hesitant to be engaged to someone she didn't remember. It soothed my dislike of a potential cheating scenario. Regardless, the story flowed well and it was fast paced.

I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton. The first half centered on Denver's point of view. The second half centered on Sara's pov. So the narration also was split up with Teddy Hamilton exclusively narrating the first half and Erin Mallon narrating until the epilogue. They both did well although I think I would have still liked having their voices interspersed. However, given how the book was written, I understand why the narration turned out as it did and both are such amazing narrators that I was very happy with the book.

Not for those looking for light relief

The story was written well. Good plot line, good description so it drew you in and the narration was spot on....however I couldn’t finish it. I can’t explain without giving any spoilers so I’ll just say if you’re feeling a little emotionally battered and want some light relief this book is not recommended. If however you want a heart wrenching, bleak feeling, long winded fight to reach (I’m assuming because I didn’t finish it) happy ending this is for you

Another Real Hard Love lesson from Samantha

BOOM...Yet again Samantha blows us out of the water with the second of the Men on Fire series.

Teddy and Erin certainly do justice to this one.

Denver has had so much tragedy in his life, and for those of you that have already read Stealing Sawyer, you will be familiar with his past (If not you really should, don’t know what you’re missing 😏). Through that tragedy his heart is set on becoming a firefighter, however much his heart may be in it, his mind is another matter.

Sara, she has so many battles to overcome. Will Denver be the one to help or make matters worse?

No spoilers here! Reading it is the only way to find out.

Another Real Hard Love lesson from Samantha, nothing comes easy and this one truly doesn’t.

Pain, Heartache and Passion a recipe for a great book.

Sparking Sara

This book is emotional, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
