Publisher's Summary

From Tunde Oyeneyin, the massively popular Peloton instructor, fitness star, and founder of SPEAK, comes an empowering, inspiring book that shows how she transformed grief, setbacks, and flaws into growth, self-confidence, and triumph—for fans of Shonda Rhimes, Brene Brown, and Glennon Doyle.

On any given day, thousands of devoted people clip into their bikes and have their lives changed by Tunde Oyeneyin. From her platform in a Peloton studio, she encourages riders with her trademark blend of positivity, empathy, and motivational “Tunde-isms,” to push themselves to their limits both on and off the bike. Now, fans and readers everywhere can learn about her personal journey, and discover how they too can “live a life of purpose, on purpose” with Speak, a memoir-manifesto-guide to life inspired by her immensely popular Instagram Live series of the same name.

Taking us through each step of the SPEAK acronym—Surrender, Power, Empathy, Authenticity, and Knowledge—Oyeneyin shares the lessons she has learned about loss, love, body image, and how she has successfully created an intentional, joyful life for herself, offering an accessible blueprint for anyone looking to make a positive change in their lives.

Picks up Speed & Power Like of Locomotive

So glad I never stopped reading this book because in the beginning it was a bit slow moving, but once it built up speed and once it accelerated, Tunde’s life story became deep and rich with important messages. So powerful and grateful she allowed us into her life and shared her story with us!

Great Story but not what I expected!

I thought I was going into more of a self improvement story but it's more of a memoir of her life and how she made improvements in her life based on the things she went through and experienced. great take aways though!

Amazing Listen

I had never heard of Her but have been wanting a Peleton bike for like a year feeling like my soul needs it but unfortunately events happen where can not just go get one so when I saw she was an instructor I said let me learn who she is. I am so Happy I did b/c As I listened It was like a breathe of fresh air to hear someone be so open&vulnerable about her life events as well as encouraging, inspirational & Motivational at the same time it lined up with helping me view past situations, present circumstances&future goals. Thank You So Much for putting Your Life On Stage in so many ways. Continued Success!

Inspirational and Uplifting

Tunde’s story touches on every aspect of the life that we all live where we have to make big decisions weighing whether the decision is the right one. We have to take risk and fail sometimes in order to be our best selves. Her losses were tremendous and has strengthened her as a result. As a black woman living through the stereotypes and colorism in our society and not letting those experiences make her bitter and diminish her self esteem. I took her “Speak Ride” on my Peloton recently and before reading or hearing her book and laughed and felt connected when she talked her experiences in a Nigerian Church and how what she described was I experienced in most Black Churches. Those roots continue whether we realize it or not. I recommend this book as a must read, you will not regret it.

I love her even more…

So, admittedly, I am a Tunde fan. From the first moment I saw her smile on the screen of Pelaton, I knew there was something amazing about her shine.

Now, after listening to her read her book, share her life, and receive the nuggets she imparted to my life… I’m a fan for life. There were so many relatable moments, and even more “I can do this” inspirations. This isn’t a book of perfection, and sure there were some areas I wanted her to elaborate more upon, and others that dragged on… but that’s with any book. Overall, I was thoroughly intrigued, and will likely listen again. Absolutely worth the credits!!
