Publisher's Summary

Research suggests that the first six months of life are the most critical to a child’s development of language skills. For an individual to become sufficiently skilled in any language, they must be exposed to the language as early as possible, preferably before school age.

  • Is your child saying single words and starting to put two words together?
  • Can your child share a simple turn-taking game without having a tantrum?
  • Can your child understand simple instructions?
  • Can your child express their needs without getting frustrated?
  • Can you understand what your child wants, without guessing?

If you want to change the answers to the above questions from no to yes, then you are on the right page!

Follow the advice and strategies written by a speech and language therapist.

Learn when and how the zero- to five-year-old children develop their understanding, talking, and playing skills.

So many gaps!

The author keeps referencing “the example below” or “ages and stages of development” however as an audio book I can not see the list or chart listed in the book.

Start implementing these communication strategies

This is definitely one book I wish my parents had for us when my siblings & I were children. Communication skills are crucial to one success and understanding of the world. Start implementing these strategies and you’ll see a difference in you child in a short time. The more you practice the better the result. This is an audiobook I will absolutely learn from & share with my children when I have them. Amazing book.
