Approachable and helpful

Far too often, parenting books are made to be so unrealistic for the average person to achieve. This book is the complete opposite!

I loved the approachable narrator and content targeted for busy parents to still give their kids some substance while transitioning from bottle to food.

This would be a great first step for both moms and dads to listen to before taking the solid food journey!

Parenting Guideline!

I guess everyone who wants to have a family needs first to gain a wide knowledge about parenting first and acquire a new parenting mindset before welcoming the new toddler ... this book taught me many things from feeding my baby to how to deal with the most common problems that most new parents face in the beginning ( always hard in the beginning due to lack of experience ) This book will save time and energy to many new parents like me. I recommend it

Evidence based!! Buy it!!

This book was just what I was looking for. I didn't want just recipes (although it does have some easy three-ingredient recipes that I have used); I wanted to know all the nitty-gritty of how to cut food, how big, what shape, what a plate should look like, how to balance the meal (protein/fruit or veg/carbs) when to introduce different textures, etc. Literally, this book has it all and gave me the practical tools I needed to be confident.

If you want your baby to become an independent eater and have fun in the process, then this is your book. I highly, highly recommend it! I also love the narrator's voice; it is pleasant and enjoyable to listen to.

I love this book!

It has so much information and insights and I love the author's tone and perspective on weaning. She is inviting and encouraging. Weaning was a stressful time for us, and I'm sure a lot of parents can relate. This was the first weaning book that gave me the tools to feel confident, and let me tell you; I listened to them all. A pediatric nutritionist has approved everything, and the author combines all the latest research on everything from nutrients, allergens, food shape, size, gagging, and choking. We also loved the downloads that came with the book so we could put it on our fridge for reference. This book hands down saved our weaning journey! Get it!

Weaning Made Simple

I have been looking for something in this subject for my granddaughter as things have changed so much since I had my children. I am now very confident again in being able to help when I’m looking after her now she is at this stage of development. Great simple recipes too with a step-by-step and day-to-day, couldn’t be easier.

Very helpful for parents!

I had never heard of term, baby-led weaning before listening to this audiobook. However, the book explains the concepts, techniques, and best practices of BLW, as well as the clear benefits to the baby's development, in a straightforward, clear, and structured manner to help with the transition from breast milk or formula to solid food. The key distinction is that this method involves the baby's participation! Her advice on the weaning process comes off as quite genuine, indicating that the author speaks from experience and a lot of practice. To get the listener started, the title includes highly useful downloadable meal planners and ideas with delicious recipes. It also warns that the BLW might not be suitable for all babies. Highly recommended for aspiring parents as well as current parents who may need a helping hand along the way.

My wife and I are so ready for our next baby!

I have 3 kids and haven't been too sure if my wife and I fed them the right combination of liquid and solid foods at specific ages. Thanks to this excellent book, we now know exactly how to ensure our next child has all the nutrition they need. We now have widened knowledge on delicious organic wholefood types we'll incorporate in our baby's meals, so he derives the nutrition needed to grow healthily, I totally recommend this book to new/expecting moms/dads.

BLW Made Simple

Spoons & Solids helped me so much! I have a 3-year-old and an 8-month-old. With our first child, I desperately wanted to do a “baby-led weaning” approach, but I really couldn’t figure out how to make it work. I was constantly worried about him choking, spending so much time reading blog posts that were conflicting, and struggling to figure out how to make dinner for the family in a way that worked for everyone. After listening to this book, I have so much confidence in approaching baby-led weaning with my 8-month-old. I have started implementing the book and my life seems way less stressful than it was with my first child. Also, the additional resources that are available with the book are so helpful! I printed the PDF that comes with the book and have it in my kitchen for quick reference. Having it removes the guess work and makes my mealtimes a breeze. I also liked the author’s approach that recommends figuring out what works for your family and household and accepting that there isn’t one exact way to do it. Acknowledging that each household will be unique helped me to feel more comfortable with our situation rather than feeling like I had to morph our approach into an exact science recommended by someone else.

Easy as A-B-C

You couldn't get a more straightforward sensible approach to a subject that I feel has been overcomplicated and nailed down to extremes, so much so that just thinking about how to wean has become incredibly daunting, bearing in mind this was something we did for hundred's of thousands of years without any instruction. This book takes it right back down to the most important factors you'll want to bear in mind as you make your own flexible and sensible plan. A blessing in digital form for all new parents!

Better than my mother in-law

I have 3 kids and I didn't know how to wean my babies My mother-in-law had old ancient things that happened in the 1950s and I didn't have a second opinion. This book was TOTALLY what I needed against her. Solids for her were chicken when I was still giving the baby food. Every child was different and liked different foods. Armed with the information with this book, I know what to do as Grandmother, let's hope that's not for at least 10 more years.

Candid and Informative!

The audiobook is interesting and informative on winning and allowing babies have healthy eating habits. It is relatable as I had to look after my younger ones as well. Feeding babies can be complicated but the tips here are helpful giving easier ways to experiment with feeding babies as they can not talk making wining easy and at the same time giving babies what is needed by combining purees with solid food.

Excellent Information!!

This book contains a lot of very useful information on what to feed your baby when you are a new parent.

A book like this would have been very helpful to me, especially when I had my first child.

The book provides information about the signs and symptoms of choking.

As a parent, you will learn the signs your baby makes so that you can make an informed decision when it comes to feeding your baby.
